Between it being a gacha I genuinely think the combination of idol and horse racing is off putting as both industries are full of abuse and disturbing situations.

Personally, I think Quake Wars is the most important in the “strogg plotline”
The initial set up of how the strogg actually take over a lot of earth and capture millions it’s why the GDI are attacking on more maps than defending. They are scrambling to save civilians from medical processing, salvaging strogg tech, and fighting back.
The GDI also have the ability to study strogg tech as they were unable to decompose quickly and the GDI realize that hitting them by destroying the medical facilities and processing plants can stop the strogg. It also mentions the GDI being able to reverse engineer slipgate tech which explains the technological bump up by Quake 2, and the fact they go to Stroggos was to save millsions of POWs captured during the initial invasion of Earth...
