When do you tell your parents/family about a relationship?

I have only had two serious relationships. The last one in college and I think I didn’t tell my parents until a year in when I brought them home during the holidays?

Now I’m a grown adult and I haven’t told my parents yet. It’s been 5 months since we were official and we are now long distance so it feels uncertain even though I personally feel like this could be serious and long term.

Curious to know when you share your dating life with your parents and family.

Just moved to NYC…what shows to prioritize?

Just got tickets to see Aaron Tveit before Moulin Rouge closes. What else should I go see?

Looking for a good coffee or lunch spot with WiFi/seating for a nice chill weekend afternoon.

Any recommendations? Bonus points if pet friendly and in Chelsea.

Buying from Facebook Marketplace advice

Just moved to NYC and building my wfh set up. What office chairs brands are worth getting second hand? I see lots of branch office chairs $80-150, some Herman Miller around $300, Steelcase 1 $60, Haworth Soji/Zody/Fern $300-700. Name the chair worth buying second hand. Has to be worth the effort if I’m rolling it down the streets, lugging through subway or calling an uber for pick up.

Easiest NYC airports to fly in/out of?

How do the three airports compare on ease/price to get to manhattan on public transit? Any recs on timing into the city e.g. should I avoid 10pm-12am flights?

Check my math: Amex Gold + Amex Delta

Assume you transfer MR points to Delta 1:1, and have the Amex Delta at 15%.

Does that essentially make 1 dollar spent on dining on Amex Gold = 4 MR = 4 skymiles, redeem at an average of 1 - 1.5 cents per mile = 4-5% + cashback value.

I’m thinking this is worth it for domestic travel. I have 300k MR points I haven’t used yet and have no international trips planned yet. Also fly Delta almost exclusively between Atlanta and NYC.

Kyleena IUD - positive experience

Had a relatively positive experience with my IUD insertion.
Took 800mg of ibuprofen 1 hour before, was on day 2 of my period, was able to get out of pocket pronox / laughing gas for the insertion with my doctor. Definitely could still feel a pinch that hurt, but I was ok.

Light cramping for a few days to a week Felt a little too sensitive to use a tampon after insertion although doctor said it would be fine. Took a few days to stop “feeling it”. No major symptoms otherwise which is big for me. Feels so different from being on the pill in a good way.

First period was extremely light bleeding on and off 3 weeks 20 days after insertion. Was a little annoying because it was too light to use a tampon, but not nothing.

64 days post insertion and still haven’t had a second period. Fingers crossed I’m not pregnant (not really too worried, but might take a test for peace of mind) and I’m just one of the lucky ones who don’t get periods on the IUD.
