Eto muna gamitin ko for a few days kasi may dinadiagnose akong slight fuel smell leak sa cabin. Malakas sa gas kaya di namin masyado gamit except for long drives. Sana nilabas locally yung V6 variant
Lowered with H&R springs and Fitted with 20" Toyota Venza wheels on 245/45 tires. Another car of ours with the OEM+ look.
Any questions about this platform i'll be happy to answer.
This was given to me with a semi built chassis. Figured it's a nice car to test out my Ultra Hots rims. So I continued the build and didn't think much (after getting slightly burnt out with the rx-7).
Not a show piece, but good enough as a shelf filler. For every 1 detailed build, I tend to do 2-3 quick ones as in betweeners.
One of many backlog projects. Actually lost interest in this build because around 2 years ago, clearcoat peeled off on the driver side door and was boxed. Dug it up recently, taped the door, sanded and recleared it. The marks of the peeled clearcoat are still there if you look very closely. Either I'm just glad this one is done and I can now clear space for other projects.
A lot of posts/queries on this sub about repairing/repainting scratches on their car, even if it's a very small scratch. Of course it's a case to case basis and opinions may vary per person, and it all leads down to personal preference. I have experienced both scenarios already (preserved original paint sa yaris, panel painting sa altis)
Many know I have a gen2 yaris and most common compliment(?) I get is "sariwa pa yaris mo ser!" But here I have posted all the small nuances and imperfections of the car. Some I have no pictures:
- scratches on front corners of the bumper (kamotes na mahilig sumingit sa service road)
- a big scratch under the foglamp (dati may tennis ball sized dent pa yan but naibalik lang with the help of heat - ebike binangaa sa harap
- a dent behind the rear passenger door (kamote again)
- rear bumper and trunk has a scratch (sumabit sa alambre)
- driver side rocker panel has a dent (tinamaan ng bato sa Laguna)
- door handle bowl is full of scratches and primer showing (daily use)
- some small imperfections sa clear coat esp sa hood and roof (bird poop)
- tint on rear driver door has scratches (bec of dog)
- side mirror indicators has a crack (counterflowing kamote)
- and many more small nuances.
From 6 feet away you will never notice these things. And we have owned this car since 2012 it rolled off the casa floor. Yet all these scratches hinde ko pinapagawa and I just left them. Why? **Because I believe preservation is better than perfection**, rather than having panels painted every now and then. Original factory paint and clear is hard to match, lalo na reds. Even my detailer contacts advise me against repainting the panels, unless I will be going for a full body repaint, then that is another matter. Preserving and maintaining the original paint is better As long as the clear is intact. I don't worry about the scratches, magkakaron at magkakaron yan. Of course case to case basis, I know some factory paint are weak. But if you decide to have it panel painted, make sure to go to a very reputable shop. Don't cheap out especially on clearcoats.
PPFs and ceramic coats add an extra layer of protection for our car paints, but please like everything else, don't skimp on quality for these as well. My car has neither of these, and my yaris' last buff was 2019. Just regular wash with and wax every few months.
While on the other hand, my altis has a repainted hood and bumper from the rest of the body. Now th
So, are you preserving your factory paint, or achieve flawless perfection for your daily drivers? Maybe in the next 5-10 years I'll do a repaint, but that will be a full body strip to metal repaint, not a hilamos., and maybe that time the yaris will be retired from daily driving duties.
Happy doggo at Steak to One. A pet friendly steak place with pet menu. Also pets get a bowl of water with ice and a free whipped cream. And yes dogs are allowed on seats (but not on tables).
They also have a jar for donations to strays, and a water and food feeder outside for any stray that comes along.
We order unseasoned steak here para pwede din si Kopi mags steak . Pets get a water bowl with ice.
Plus they have a water and feeding station outside their store for the strays.
3D printed Gauge pod mockup enclosure for a Lufi XS OBD display. Angle and position looks good, pictures taken at my eye level. Now I can finalize the files before 3d printing it with better material. It can also accommodate two 52mm round gauges on each side.
Also made a Racepak iq3 enclosure for yaris fitment as well. A third version is on the way as well with aggressive tilt for cars with low bucket seats
Mine is the red yaris with a custom RS2 badge, stock for now but I have parts waiting. Also pic with our rav4
I now have have several versions. One is standard for OBD readers, one of haltech racepack iq3. A third version with aggressive tilt is in the works as well, for a friend's racecar with low seating.
This one is designed to hold a Lufi XS OBD digital display meter and two 52mm gauges. Faceplate can be modified to accept other stuff, like fueltech ic7, 60mm gauges, a big Tachometer or make it as a cellphone holder.
Printed half just to check for dash contour and front face angle. Looks good and all fits well. A few more tweaks and it will be ready.
Will post the files soon on my cults3D.
Kaya bihira gamitin rav4 dahil malakas sa gas 🤣🤣🤣. Yaris can do 9-11kml. Rav4 4-6kml.
Lazy afternoon, decided to attend our club's meet today. Was great to see all the familiar faces/old friends in this culture. Lots of new young people getting interested in wrenching old cars. Also Toyota bought their rav4, BZ4X and Urban Cruiser for display.
