New iPad Mini. Questions on ergonomics and hardware updates.
I have the latest iPad Pro 13”, iPhone Pro Max, and really needed a device to focus on my (thankfully) newfound desire to read more books. While I prefer paper, it’s just not always feasible.
I debated between Kindle and comparable e-ink displays. While I liked the simplicity and e-ink features, I didn’t like the idea of being locked into Kindle ecosystem or a half-assed UX of importing book files I already purchased. Apple’s software has made it seamless to use.
My two questions having just purchased a new Mini today:
How are you making the device (while more ergonomic than any other iPad) more so as an ereader? For example, a PopSocket.
While I am still in the 14-day return window, is it worth returning the device and coming back in October with the news of a hardware upgrade?
Thoughts on the above and anything else are much appreciated. As I mentioned, I already have the Pros in both 13” iPad M5 and iPhone Max. Neither work for me because either too large or too many notifications. The Mini would be a dedicated reader.
