It’s been so long and I still can’t decide between the PS5 and Switch version

Hello all,

I do not know where else to turn to so I am posting here on Reddit. I downloaded the demo for this game and was amazed with how pretty and fun it is, it’s totally my type of game. I’ve finished majority of the Fire Emblem games and for Vanillaware I have finished Muramasa and 13 Sentinels.

Here’s the thing, I can’t for the life of me decide which version to get for Unicorn Overlord, Switch (on Switch 2) or the PS5 version (played on PS5 Pro).

The type of gameplay tells me Switch, but if I’m being honest, I rarely play my Switch on portable mode. I usually play it portable when I am doing some grinding on an RPG. I do feel like I am gonna do that here, but who knows to what extent. If I’m not grinding, I always play docked to make most of my nice OLED TV and experience the story that way.

On the other hand, playing the PS5 demo was pure eye candy. Everything was visually sharp, and I like how no matter how close I get to the TV, everything was sharp and not blurry, totally a treat! So I am tempted to get that version for that reason.

I feel like if I play the PS5 version, there will come a time where I wish I could play it portable and grind. Then again, if I play the Switch version, I feel like I am robbing myself of experiencing the best visual quality of the game and with this artwork I feel like it deserves it.

Gah, it’s been weeks and I still really can’t decide. Anyone ever been on the same boat as I? I hate having these niche problems. Appreciate any helpful thoughts!

Please help me revisit this game and build the ultimate team?

Hey all,

I really got addicted to this game when it came out almost a decade ago. Due to the Switch 2 Edition releasing, I decided to revisit it. So I've always been sort of a completionist, I have done all quests and finished all superbosses for Xenoblade 1 and 3, for some reason, I didn't get to do it for 2.

I still have my save, every member is at lvl 99, pretty strong Mythra (not sure if optimized), and then have ALL blades until Dahlia. I'm basically blade complete except for the post-game blades and DLC (I did purchase the DLC though). I realized when I purchased the DLC I just finished Torna but never went back to the base game.

Slowly trying to relearn everything I know about the combat system and so far I think I remember the gyst of it. My concern now is building the most optimized team to tackle the Land of Challenges, I did the first few quests there then the rest are kicking my butt.

Is there a guide to do an optimized team build that's overall good for all the post game challenges?

Many thanks for any help!

FF7 Revelation - A lot of references to OG

  1. The character portraits are exact references to the PS1 portraits, same face angles and everything.
  2. The OG logo is exactly in the Revelation logo, it looks like it’s coming out of the Remake logo.

This is amazing! I can’t wait for this game. Just wanted to share some things i found out in case other people haven’t known yet.

Planning to use Rush on Aero Pegasus, should I use 9-60 or 7-60 ratchet?

I've had lots of success with 1-60 ratchet on AP with Rush but lately I've been needing it more on Wizard Rod. I've been testing both 7-60 and 9-60 on AP and they both seem to have their pros and cons. 7-60 seems to hit harder but 9-60 bursts less and I think has slightly more stamina.

Can anyone who's had extended use of these ratchets with AP weigh in? Thanks a lot!

Should I run pixel clean if it prompts?

My LG G5 prompted for the Pixel Clean (10mins) for the first time yesterday when I powered it on just like in this video. From what I’ve read online from mixed comments, this long pixel clean is taxing on the panel and significantly wears down brightness of the screen. Because of not being sure on what to do I opted to skip it. Besides, I know the TV does it automatically when turned off so not sure why it prompted it now.

After checking my TV hours I see that it reached 1000hrs so this might be why it prompted? However, was I right to skip it? I know it does it automatically so I'm confused about the prompt. Should I only run it if I see any noticeable problems on the screen?

Have been watching/gaming on this TV since last year and it still looks flawless to me.

Thanks for any advice!

Edit: So many downvotes and insults just because someone like me asked this question? Smh. Thanks for those who actually replied with kindness, it goes a long way guys.
