Large non-Corellian ships with a crew of less than five?

I’m indulging in my recurring Star Wars ”living out of a space Winnebago” fantasy, and I’m looking for ships suitable for hauling friends and family around while still living comfortably.

I’m thinking moderate interior conversion, not a complete transformation. Like, smaller cargo areas could turn into cabins, but I don’t want to be building entire apartments out of the cavern inside an Action IV.

To keep the options non-obvious, let’s omit CEC (Corellian) designs. Bonus points if it can perform a planetary landing! The kids love to take their speeders out and check out the wildlife.

Hey scrappers! Help me build a droid display!

I love the creativity of the people in this community and I love Scrapper Saturdays. So I have a request.

I would like to make a suggestion. I love my droids and I would like to build a better display for them. Ideally, I’d like to see an interlocking frame that I can buy more pieces for depending on how many droids I have. Something with a smidge of Droid Depot flair, something a bit industrial.

I’d like to pick one up, but I want to know if they are only available on the secondary market

I’m asking about the remote control ones that are priced like the custom astromechs.

Spider Noir: Lukas Haas appreciation post

I am about to start my second viewing of Spider Noir, and I wanted to shout out an actor I was surprised and happy to see in the show. Lukas Haas has been popping up in shows and movies I love for decades, and I’m happy to see him in a big Marvel production. In a creepy mook role, nonetheless! He’s a far cry from the sweet stoned kid in Mars Attacks, he’s an amoral killer with a brain.

Last Christmas I caught a post of his where he was promoting a very funny white trash X-Mas song he did for The Righteous Gemstones, so I have the chance to tag him here:

Hey u/lukashaasmusic! You are great on the show! In fact, I can’t think of a single bad performance in this show, the acting is freaking top notch everywhere! Everyone hit the noir and gangster vibes perfectly. From the get-go I thought it would be a little bit of a parody, but it’s a ln honest-to-god noir mystery and thriller. Nobody winks at the camera, it’s just great classic drama and fun.

I know industry folks probably look at numbers more than they listen to reviews, but I wanted to tell you guys you all did a GREAT job.

Avis has screwed my family vacation. Consider another company.

Avis rented us a car with a bad battery. We drove it off the lot, traveled an hour away and it never started on its own again.

Avis demands $132 for roadside assistance on THEIR car! So we used a friend and we used AAA. But we need a new car- we can’t keep getting jumps every time the car stops. They tell us to go to the nearest location and swap it. So we call that location, and they don’t want to help. They “are an independent operator” and will not exchange cars they didn’t rent. The manager told us, “Did _I_ rent you a bad car? No.”

Avis will not replace the battery or bring us a better car. They want $132 to help us charge the battery so we can bring it to them and swap the car. Personally, I would love it if the problem was the engine so they would be forced to come get this POS. But if we want to drive at all, we have to get this charged ourselves, drive it an hour to their facility and hope they have a replacement.

I don’t need a specific car, but I do need something big enough for our family and our luggage. But they will not promise us they have a car like that, or a car at all, when we arrive.

I got to tell you, we have been pretty civil during our phone calls. We don’t scream or curse anyone out. But all we have got is either hostility or exaggerated helplessness. No one in this organization gives a shit.

I was supposed to get these kids to a theme park hours ago. We only get a few days off for family vacations, and we are going to lose a whole day dealing with this. Avis is not my friend.
