That’s a lot of Fireworks
We were watching a movie, and suddenly heard massive rumbling outside. It was the DC fireworks. We live in Silver Spring, 13 mikes away. Absolutely insane.

The flyer nailed to the outside of the wall before you enter the tavern wall reads as follows
"WANTED: VANGUARD FOR THE ISLE OF OMEN
By Decree of the Forgelord and the High Advisors of Anvil:
The Empire Bleeds. The Orc King is gone, and the Orc Queen's banners fly alongside the shifting horrors of the Diabolist. Our fortresses are besieged. Our walls are pressed. But our greatest tragedy remains hidden in the western mists.
The First Expedition Has Fallen. The brave heroes who flew west on The Pride of Bromm to break the Lich King's dark cocoon have been silenced. Whether they were brought down by the skeletal swarms of Omen or the treacherous winds of Necropolis, we do not know.
The Call is Put Forth:
We require a new company of adventurers. You will be given a map to the last known trajectory of the airship. You must fly into the teeth of the storm, find the wreckage, and complete the ritual at the Heart of the World.
The Reward:
The eternal gratitude of a desperate King, the salvage rights to a legendary dwarven airship, and the chance to wield weapons of antiquity lost in the jungle canopy.
Warning: The Island of Omen is waking. The Living Dungeon stirs beneath the soil. Bring steel. Bring spellcraft. Expect no rescue."
Hey, thanks for getting this far! I am looking to run a twice monthly 13th Age 2e campaign every other Thursdays from 6 PM to 9 PM EST. This will mostly be theater of the mind, with OwlBear Rodeo for maps if needed. There will be some role-play on discord in between session to keep the campaign moving.
I am looking for 4-5 players who are interested in collaborative storytelling with story-driven combat. No experience is necessary but you will need access to the book (sorry, I don't give out PDFs). I am an older player in their 50s; you don't have to be as old as I am but at least be mature in thought with the ability to work well with others of varying backgrounds.
Hello 👋🏾
I have a game I’ve worked on, rather casually, for a few years now. I think I have enough content to warrant a play test with my group.
At what point do you roll out your game and starting rolling dice?
For my fantasy players and game masters, which TTRPG do you feel has the best druid class? Specifically, shape-shifting into animal forms and casting spells. I'm very familiar with D&D's version and its adjacent games, but I'm wondering if there is another game that does it better. Thanks in advance!
Is there a game on your shelf that you are itching to play or run? Every time you see it there you’re like, “One day…”. For me it’s Unity. It’s 4e adjacent, fantastic art, and fun lore coupled with interesting classes.
I remember backing Unity pre-covid. When the book arrived I was blown away with the production value. My goal was to run the game myself but I never got around to it, too many games blah blah blah. Then, I found out the creator, Andom Tran, disappeared, possibly sick due to Covid-19.
After he was gone the game eventually faded. Modiphius had the publishing rights for a time, but there was very little fanfare or advertising.
Unity RPG is my grail that I’ll run one day.
Hey 👋🏾
Here’s a few of my books, the rest I keep stored in the basement, and occasionally switch them out.
My favorites are RIFTS and TMNT. My GM is heavily influenced by RIFTS, with a good deal of science-fantasy and rules-on-the-fly.
I’m a huge 4e D&D fan (obviously), and it’s a game I plan to run sometime in the future, though I’m currently running its spiritual successor, Draw Steel.
In my opinion, Midgard by Kobold Press, is the best campaign setting for 5e. The next campaign I run will probably be Cyberpunk Red.
How many portals can be created? Is it unlimited?
