The Second Amendment: Still relevant or vestigial?

It seems like many non-US netizens from liberal democracies view our Second Amendment (2A) as being a holdover from America's infancy, having no place in modern civilized society. They say Americans would be better off without it, pointing out that no other democracy has as much gun violence as the US.

My question to my fellow Americans is "Do you guys support the Second Amendment because you truly believe 2A still has a purpose in our society, or simply because it is a vestige that isn't going away anytime soon so might as well strap up?"

If the former, why do you believe it's still relevant? If one of the reasons is to defend against tyranny, how do you refute arguments that civilian ownership of firearms is pointless because the government can just steamroll armed resistance with mechanized warfare or that taking up arms against the government is pure fantasy because doing so will make you into a felon or get you killed so 99.9999% of us won't resist anyway?

I'm curious as to how you all would approach this line of questioning.

ELI5: Why switching static loads between arms feels less sore than resting the arms and continuing on with each arm carrying the same load

I carried one bag for each arm. One bag had 18-20 pounds of ingredients. The other had two full gallon-milk jugs, around 16.5 pounds total. I carried both for about half a block before resting them for a few seconds and continuing on without switching loads. I stopped again after just a few yards. This time, I readjusted and switched loads between arms and carried them further than before - for about another half a city block before feeling the need to do so again. Why does this feel better, even going from lighter to heavier?

[TOMT] 2000's - Present action movie, possibly Marvel, where humanoid robots are used for peacekeeping in the Middle East

The robots are humanoid but are very much robotic in appearance. I remember in the scene that they were being demo'd to show how safe they were and kept troops out of harm's way for patrols/ID checks, but then some insurgents attacked one.

Songs that are good for teaching American/English slang

I want to teach my ESL girlfriend some slang, and I think pop music would be a fun and applicable way of doing so. Tempo should be on the slower side, and pronunciation/enunciation clear and minimally distorted.

A suitable song would be like Ariana Grande - 7 Rings.

Preferably with some lyrical variety.

TIA!
