First attempt,,, and actually turned out decent 😭

Legit my first time trying to photograph the moon.
I wasn’t expecting much, but somehow these turned out way better than I expected 😭

(Both were shot from my phone. Still have absolutely no idea what I’m doing lol.)

Another Sunday, another rider added to the group

We had a new member join us today u/Hour_Avacado_9955 🫶, so thought I’d share a few pictures from the ride.

What’s especially motivating is that he’s 9 months post ACL injury and still getting back into cycling. Seeing him out there riding with us was honestly pretty inspiring for all of us. He’s taking things at his own pace, but the fact that he’s back on the bike and enjoying the ride itself is something we really appreciated.

We had a pretty chill ride, stopped at a few places for pictures and just spent some good time together. Eventually ended up having breakfast after cycling 40+km. (Will go for a longer ride in upcoming weeks for sure😋)

Slowly turning that random cycling-group post from this subreddit into an actual little Sunday group. :’)

Here’s a few pictures from today’s ride. (I can say photo’s quality increased🤧)

(P.S.:- thank you guys to actually contributing to this community and subreddit, whether it’s through a comment, a post, upvote , or simply opening the posts. The number are genuinely increasing)

A wholesome moment I witnessed during my solo movie date.

Pata hai aaj kya hua? (Aaj nhi wase Saturday night)

So i Went on a solo movie date that day.

Before the movie started, I noticed a kid who looked like he was in 6th or 7th standard. His mother came in with him, helped him find his seat, bought him popcorn and a drink, made sure he was settled, and then quietly left. (The kid was also alone and was actually enjoying the movie)

After the movie ended, I saw her waiting outside. The first thing she asked him was,

“Kaisi thi movie? Maza aaya😇?”

It wasn’t some dramatic moment. Just… simple moment(i guess it is) (kya yehi hote h emotionally available parents?)

But yeah this moment, it stayed with me.

Maybe because it reminded me that sometimes love isn’t loud? It’s just showing up, making sure someone has everything they need, and coming back to hear about their experience afterward.

Funny how i got that text from my mom while i was watching movie😆..

One reddit comment later, i found cycling buddies

About a week ago, u/Emotional_Disaster36 posted in this subreddit asking if there were any active cycling groups in Yamunanagar.

A few DMs later, a group was made.

Fast forward to today, we (u/Emotional_Disaster36, u/Fast_Alternative_322 and me) were on a 5:00 AM ride, covering 35.6 km together.

We explored the Dadupur Head, saw how wild the water had become after the rains, clicked a few photos (still working on that😅), and mostly just enjoyed riding, talking and sharing lassi😋.

It’s funny how a random Reddit comment turned into something real.

I honestly didn’t expect to find people with the same hobby through Reddit, especially in Yamunanagar, but here we are.

Hoping this becomes a regular thing.

If you’re from Yamunanagar/ Jagadhri (ya any nearby place) and enjoy cycling, feel free to join us. The more riders, the better. 🚴

Went for protest, but Delhi had other plans.

As i said in my previous post about joining the protest. and i am glad atleast one person joined me.
Went there (and as expected) the protest was called off. Was still hoping of seeing some crowd for Candle March, but there were no candles. Crowd? Yes. people from Chandigarh, West Bengal (even Someone who had participated in and helped organize protest for R.G. Kar Incident) Even some people from Kerala and more from nearby areas..

Police and Armed forces didn't allow us to enter, the reason being "We are cleaning and need no disturbance from media or student" , there were indeed cleaning (or i can say just white washing the walls were student wrote slogan and drew graffiti on the govt. (Like the last pic)... Reporters and influencer were talking students view on this event (we both went to the back after seeing cameras tho🥲🥲, both are camera shy)
It was nice talking to other people tho, that too from different state
it was still too early to leave delhi so we just roamed in CP and Chandi Chowk, a downpoint that we both have zero expertise in photography, these photos are just memories for us😋(will have to work on that🥲)

PS:- This post is simply about our experience in Delhi. I’m not trying to make a political statement or argue for any side.

Do WE stand with students?

As most of us know (even if you don’t),
The student protest in Delhi is still going strong.
It’s mainly over the NEET paper leak, the repeated exam failures, and the demand for accountability from govt. Crowds have grown and support is coming from different states.

A few of us have already decided to go and some were ready in the comments of different post in this sub. If you guys are ready to participate in the protest , reach ynr bus stand at 4:30 in morning at max, we can travel and stay together.
(Timepass wale na aana bs)

Also jiske parents nhi maan rhe at least try to talk with them (maan to mere bhi nhi rhe, but m ab jaa hi rha hu m).

Any suggestions regarding this are appreciated..

Anyone up for watching Spider-Man?

I am active on other subreddits (be it delhi or Chandigarh) and With all the meetup posts, I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in doing something similar for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
I mostly go alone, and last time noticed most of the people there were on solo movie date (lol). I think this time we can change that and gather all solo movie enjoyer.

Nothing fancy tho, just a bunch of strangers from the subreddit watching the movie together, discussing theories, getting goosebumps, shouting during the scenes😋

The movie is still some time away, so this is mostly to see if people would actually be interested. If enough people are in, we could figure out weekends, timings, etc. later.

Comment if you’ve got better ideas for a meetup.

First weekend trip to Dharamshala, looking for local recommendations

Hi everyone!

I’m planning my first weekend trip to Dharamshala and would love some advice from locals or frequent visitors.

A few questions:

  1. Looking for hotel recommendations with safe parking (I’ll be driving an SUV).
  2. Dharamshala vs Dharamkot
  3. Would it be better to stay in Dharamshala and rent a scooty to explore McLeod Ganj, Dharamkot? Or i just go mcleodganj
  4. Are the roads to McLeod Ganj and Dharamkot comfortable for an Endeavour/Fortuner/Scorpio-sized SUV?
  5. Which cafés, restaurants, or local food places are absolute must-visits?
  6. Are there any clean streams, waterfalls, or natural plunge pools where taking a dip is allowed?

( i do respect nature and local authorities, if it is not allowed I’ll not go)
Any hidden gem would be a bonus, be it sunrise spot or plunges (or if you don’t wanna reveal it to all, you can dm me)
7. Any sunrise viewpoints or treks you’d recommend, thinking of triund trek with my friend.

Lastly, if there’s anything first-time visitors often miss, or any tourist traps worth avoiding, I’d really appreciate your suggestions.

One day Itinerary- looking for local suggestion

(Image is out of context)

Hey everyone,

A lil context:

One of my friends is visiting Dehradun for work and will have all of his Sunday free before leaving in the evening. I'm trying to help him plan a one-day itinerary and would love some local suggestions.

Current plan:

- Thappi View Point (starting around 4:00 AM for sunrise)
- Sahastradhara
- Robber's Cave
- Back to the hotel for some rest/freshening up
- Tapkeshwar Temple
- Mindrolling Monastery
- Bus from Dehradun around 7:00 PM

I suggested booking hotel somewhere near Rajpur for Thappi and also since it seems convenient for the itinerary.

A few questions:

- Is this too much for one day, or is it manageable?
- Are there any places on this list you'd recommend skipping?
- Any must-visit spots that we're missing?
- Any good food or café recommendations, especially for cakes, pastries, and coffee?

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Ye to nhi socha tha kabhi hoga!

Pata hai aaj kya hua
Abhi abhi hua ye😭
So i was just about to sleep when I got a Reddit notification saying someone wanted to chat.

Dumb me got genuinely happy. I thought, “Nice, I’ll get to talk to a new person for a change instead of the same old friends and my favorite person.”

At first, the conversation was completely normal:

I thought, “Cool, seems like a chill guy. Maybe same interest hoga hamara”

and within two minutes the conversation took a hard u-turn.

Told my girlfriend about this and she hasn’t stopped laughing since. I already know she’s going to use this against me forever. 😭

BC ladke bhi safe nahi hain. 😭

Anyways, good night guys. Kaafi adventure ho gaya aaj ke liye. 🌙✨

Losing Gym Motivation

Sometimes I feel like i just don’t wanna go to gym. Is there a reason for that?

I’m pretty consistent, but some days it’s like “yaar aaj mann bhi h bilkul bhi jane ka” and even if i force myself to go, i don’t really feel the workout in me. It feels like a routine than something i actually enjoy doing.

Any solution for this? I am also thinking about leaving the gym for a few months (plus it’s gonna be hella hot for the next few months.AI)
