Hpe peer perssitence requirements for stand alone Alletra MP?

So we have dhci systems (alletra 6k) between our primary and DR site and set up for peer persistence. One of the requirements was that both systems needed to be on the same mgmt and iscsi subnet stretched between the 2 sites.

We plan on picking up 2 alletra MPs for 2 other sites and thinking of also setting up peer persistence with automatic fail over. I'm going through white papers and if this was an MP attached to a PCBE (I guess new dhci?) it would have the same requirements of being on the same network stretched across sites.

Since these are just standalone MP arrays, it may not have the same networking requirements. I scanned through some white papers and didn't see any of the same network work requirements of the 2 systems needing to be on the same network. Asked AI and out put was that they just need to be routable while being under the max latency requirements.

Anyone with Peer persistence setup with their MP or even older primeras and 3PARs?

Mother in law acute rehab facility bill - current options?

Mother in law had a major stroke at the end of March where her left side is no longer usable. I've been trying to help my wife as much as I can since she's the only child. She was in the main hospital post stroke for 3 weeks, then acute rehab facility for 21 days, then skilled nursing for 21 more days under Medicare (aetna). She's currently staying at a nursing facility under Medicaid pending status since she needs constant care.

Her mom got the 1st major bill, which is for the acute rehab facility. $79,490 but she's responsible for $2700. Wife's mom doesn't have income (thus why we applied for Medicaid) as a stay at home mom and her dad doesn't make much income with his failing business. He's also 80 years old.

This is just 1 bill, haven't even received the bill for the main ER/hospital stay or the skilled nursing facility. Would it be possible to negotiate the bill less? Also since she's Medicaid pending, if she doesn't get approved, I read that we can retroactively apply Medicaid benefits to her hospital visits 3 months prior to her application. If that's true, how does that work?

Which HVAC systems are these restrictive filters for?

My house was built in April 2021, last year the compressor blew and last week 1 of the 2 zones (thermostat 2nd floor and another on 3rd floor) was struggling to reach the desired temperature. I had my HVAC guy come and checked the coolant on my system and it was all good. He then asked me what filter I use and I told him I get them at Costco, 16x25 on the 2nd floor and a 20x30 on the 3rd floor, system in attoc doesn't take a filter.

HVAC guy immediately said that it's no good and to change it out to a merv 5-8 filter. So I went to home Depot and got FPR 5 filter to replace them. It took a bit after changing them but ac did finally normalize and doesn't struggle on the top floor to keep it at the desired temperature.

That got me to think which ac systems can use these high restrictive filter without risk of damaging their systems? I thought my system was modern enough to handle it and the thought of airborne allergen particles getting caught attracted me to these but at the same time these are the only type Costco sells. I have air purifiers pretty much on every floor so I will just rely on those to clean the air and use less restrictive air filters for my HVAC system.

Getting Google to turn off TV without having google streamer input selected? LG G5

With my previous c1, I could get Google home/assistant to turn off my tv even with the Google tv streamer input wasn't selected on my tv. With my new G5, it won't turn off the tv unless it was on the HDMI streamer input.

I have cec turned on but am I missing anything else?

Wait to book airfare?

Have my hotel booked and now just need to book airfare (also shuttle but that's down the road). I'm looking at flights right now and noticed that Thursday, 5/13, the cost is almost more then double of what it would be if I leave the day before or day after. When I look at the seats, there's barely anyone that has booked.

Is this just the airline (united) knowing about the Thursday rush for EDC weekend and inflating even though no one has booked? Do we think the airfare will come down a little or should I just try to book now?

It's been about 10 years since my last edc so any words or wisdom from edc veterans?

Chase took 2 days to review my price match claim; ineligible now

I submitted a price match hotel claim 2 days ago expecting a $300 refund. I checked yesterday and that competing site had the same price. I got a email from them today saying it's ineligible cause the room is apparently sold out now.

How do people get successful price match if chase has to verify and they may not get to it right away? It's past the 24 hour mark, do I get to resubmit another price match claim?

Upgraded to G5 while fixing Tv too high

Upgraded from a 77" c1 to a 83" G5 and mama mia is the brightness difference bonkers. Also while I was at it I finally corrected the tvtoohigh, now I sit at or above the tv center for optimal eye level viewing. Also don't worry about the ps5, it's not even plugged in nor have I used it in years (pc gamer now).

Are the current shuttle stops posted online correct or is it subject to change?

I am trying to book a hotel relatively close to a premier shuttle stop.

https://lasvegas.edc.com/travel/shuttles/#premier-shuttles

These are the current stops listed:

  • Virgin Hotels Las Vegas: 4455 Paradise Rd
  • The Strat: 2000 S Las Vegas Blvd
  • World Market Center: 435 S Grand Central Pkwy
  • The Rio: 3700 W Flamingo Road
  • Mid-Strip: 3645 S Las Vegas Blvd

Not sure if we will get a updated list of stops closer to EDC 2027 or if im good to book now.

Anyone been successful getting greentoe offer to accept below what's available to the public?

I've noticed that if you Google a certain TV model, like LG 83" G5 OLED, google shopping/sponsor tab will show you the greentoe listing with the lowest public sale price without even putting in an offer for less then msrp.

The LG G5 83" is showing $3548 without putting in an offer, but with tax it comes out to $3840. Which if you are in the market for that tv right now, it's prob the best offer since other retailers with stock have them at $4999 pre tax.

I had been curious if I could get an even lower offer so I started my initial offer for $3600 almost a week ago, essentially trying to save tax cost from the "sale" pricing of $3548. Didn't get any new counter offers other than the $3840 with tax offer so i increased offer increments to $3700, $3750, $3780 throughout the weekend/week and nothing. It wasn't til I submitted the $3800 offer that it was finally accepted, which saves me a whooping $40 vs if I just went ahead and accepted the initial offer. I'd prob have the TV by now if I wasn't so cheap lol.

Has anyone been successful getting offers accepted that was less than what others were getting? This is my 4th oled purchase off of greentoe (c1, c2 and c4 in the past) and every offer that was accepted were the standard offers every one else was getting which was still way less then your regular retailer/sales.

Soundbar mounts that can go under mounted tvs + clear atmos speakers? Samsung Q990F?

I'm getting a new oled TV and want to take this opportunity to find the q990f soundbar mount I can attach underneath the TV that will be mounted.

Requirement is that it has to be under the TV, forward enough that its clears the up firing atmos speakers, and doesn't sag down. Don't want to wall mount this for that reason.

I tried this back in December but I gave up after 2 mounts since I didn't want to remove the TV off the mount so I couldn't find a good fit. I had to settle and get a platform for the console to raise the soundbar a bit that my wife absolutely hates. See picture.

Best buy open box 83" G5 $1939 - prob a demo unit?

I saw that a nearby best buy had an "excellent" 83" open box for $1937. It was 30min before they closed when I noticed it so I didn't have enough time to run to the store to check it out. I went ahead and placed an in-store pickup for tomorrow just to hold it.

We expect this to be a demo / display unit right? I plan on dropping by in the morning to take a look before agreeing to pick it up since I don't drive a vehicle that would fit the tv. I have total tech or whatever you call the best buy membership so I get 2 years of they protection plan + 60 days to return if I do decide to take it home.

I was honestly waiting for the greentoe 77" g5 to come back to stock but when I saw 83" for the price I got excited. But it may be too good to be true.

77" C6H at $2179 a good deal?

My mom's TV crapped out and now I'm thinking of donating my 77" c1 to her so I have an excuse to upgrade lol. C6H is pretty new and I already see it for $2179 on greentoe. That a good deal or do we expect it to dip below $2000 during the holidays?

Someone Attempted to open up credit cards under my social - hard inquiries

So I woke up this morning with an experian alert that someone tried to open up a barclay credit card. I immediately froze my account and called Barclay and indeed someone tried to start an application but had my information mixed up. I informed them that it was not me and they worked to cancel the application with the fraud department.

I checked Equifax and TransUnion where I saw that a capital one hard inquiry was showing up with today's date. I did the same thing and told them that it was not me and they swiftly cancelled the application under fraud and they said that in a few days that the inquiry would disappear from my account.

I'm working on setting up identity theft protection while my account are frozen but now Im thinking about the hard inquiry that notified me about the suspicious activities.

Capital one said the inquiry would fall off from credit bureaus in a few days since this was fraud, caught it immediately, and no line of credit was actually opened. Is that true? Do I still reach out to each bank and dispute the hard inquiries?

How bad does traffic get if I decide to rent a car?

Currently planning travel. Usually I stay on the strip and just walk to different resorts for buffet/food and take the shuttle to EDC so car typically isn't needed for the weekend.

For next year, i already booked a hotel off the strip but this isn't firm since Im still waiting to see options of places on the strip. Some places aren't showing availability this far out.

Assuming I keep this hotel off the strip (elements symphony park) I'm debating just renting a car so we can drive to places to eat + possibly drive to EDC. We figured ubering every where + ubering to shuttle stops would probably cost as much or more than just renting a car and paying for parking.

With that how is traffic going to and from the speedway? Last edc I went to was 2015 and remember the horror stories of people getting stuck for hours and even passing out due to exhaustion waiting in the parking lot. After all these years has it improved?

We are getting a bit older so we will prob get there around sunset and leave around 3am if that will help the experience.

Helicopter shuttle from strip to EDC?

Next year will be my wife and I's last edc and plan splurging a little bit by getting the helicopter transfer service for night 1. Does anyone know where on the strip the helipad is at? Didn't see it listed on the maverick website. We want to make sure we book a hotel near the helipad.

Which weekend? Same lineup for both?

My now wife and I havent gone to EDC since 2015. It was great but the craziness of EDC / Vegas during the weekend made it so it wasnt a simple music festival weekend trip. Oh + the cost of the whole thing. Anyways my wife and i are in mid 30's and with it being spread between 2 weekends, seems like it will be less crazy making it a good time for our return.

I am trying to decide on which weekend to go. I see some people are choosing weekend 2 to avoid weekend 1 influx of influencers, and some choosing weekend 1 to bask in the specialness of it b4 weekend 2 goers.

But my question is, are we expecting the lineup to be the same for both weekend? I would hate to go 1 weekend and most of the people we want to see live only performs during the other weekend.
