I am uninstalling online games.

I’ve always been a huge fan of games—Brawl Stars, Roblox, and so on—but recently, after joining the digital minimalism community, I realized that even though I wasn't addicted to social media, I was addicted to those kinds of mobile games. I’ve spent entire afternoons playing Brawl Stars, for instance, so I decided to uninstall them all. I still plan to play on PC, but—as I mentioned—I have specific times when I use the computer, so I think I can balance everything. Wish me luck! :)

I' sad:(

I love talking, but I can't seem to make friends. I love going out, but no one ever wants to—they're always on their phones. I just wanted to enjoy my teenage years.

I went to a video rental

So, I went to a video rental store today. I rented a movie—wow, it’s actually weird saying that in 2026, lol. See, I have an old TV, so it doesn't support streaming or anything like that. I was thinking about buying DVDs online when I discovered there’s a rental store right where I live. It was pretty weird but cool; I signed up and rented Evil Dead Rise. The guy at the store said a lot of young people are starting to come in, and he asked why I decided to ditch the internet; I told him I just didn't like streaming. Just a little something I wanted to share with you all :)

I buy some newspapers:)

I dont read them in a whileee,I used to wake up scrolling through TikTok, but walking to the newsstand was a cool experience—I even bought a few magazines. The only downside was that some people laughed at me and called me an old man.

Do you also feel a huge urge to talk to people after adopting digital minimalism?

I’m an extrovert, but my desire to socialize has really increased since I discovered this lifestyle—spending less time offline :) So, I wonder: were you guys like that too?

A little vent

I'm 17—maybe that signals the end of my adolescence? But I'm so happy I discovered AKB48; they really made my teenage years better. It was so much fun learning about each member, discovering more about Japanese culture, and even rooting for my favorite to make the Senbatsue ven though those elections happened 10 years ago, haha. I think I'll always be grateful for discovering this group and for meeting such cool people in this sub. But then again... "You only turn 17 once in your life" – Namida Surprise!
