Hey all, my name's Ben and I host an Ambient Open Mic with my organization and hopeful future synth shop, The Low Pass. If you've never heard of it or been to one before, it’s an event we put on to create a low pressure environment for ambient and electronic musicians to play live and share their art with the community. You don’t need expensive gear to play! It is a welcoming space for everyone, whether it’s your first time playing out or you’re a veteran, or you just want to enjoy the live music.

This month we're in South Philly participating in the Passyunk Passeggiata, so stroll down the ave and stop in for some ambient music!

I opened my app this week to find a new Home Screen that feels about 10% as useful as the old one. I used to be able to organize the Home Screen to my needs, arrange my most important folders and locations however I wanted and each one showed a handful of the most recent files under it in a line. Now I just have this Recents section and Starred and not really much else that’s helpful in terms of accessing the stuff I want quickly. Why would they change this? Is it possible to change it back? As a product developer I can’t imagine anyone on any team that worked on this could’ve possibly thought it was an improvement over what we had before.

My kid is at camp right nearby and I need to know if I should be worried or not.

Hey all, my post-metal band from here in Philly, Objects, will be playing our album release show this Saturday at Nikki Lopez! The album comes out on Friday! A few weeks ago, I was invited to play with the Modular on the Spot Philly crew for an amazing event called Illuminate Kensington. It was an incredible event, but leading up to it was stressful and busy and I almost didn't get a patch together in time. I made this in about an hour leading up the performance, and only got to practice it on time before I had to leave! I'm super grateful I didn't bow out because it's become one of my favorite patches I've played out live. I've uploaded the full performance to my Youtube page, but I'm also re-recording the whole thing to get a better quality capture of the patch and will be posting it again once it's ready.
