Should ibuy a car on marketplace/autoswiper/ebay or just buy from a dealer

Pretty much the title. I am going to buy a car soon and wondered if buying from a person on apps like marketplace is the right move. because the cars are sometimes alot cheaper. i have some car knowledge but im no mechanic. or should i just go to a dealer. Thanks!

Things i added in my 2nd app to make it grow quicker (hopefully)

  1. My first app was way too niche so i made one that is way less nice. The first app was in slammed cars niche and my new app is just in the cars niche. So much bigger and easier to advertise.

  2. Invite 3 friends for a free month of pro, this is something i saw other apps doing so i thought it would be good to implement this!

  3. having a usefull app from the go, My first app was alot of community sourced. that way it needed alot of users before it would be really usefull. which is tuff. My new app is filled with stuff already so its already usefull even if you are the only user.

  4. My new app is called AutoSwiper, Its basically tinder for buying cars. Swipe left for no, right for a like and swipe up to see the full details of the car (options, history, mileage and stuff) and swipe up for contact info or original website listing from the dealer. (Android ready and IOS coming soon!)

If any of you have any more tips to make this stuff work it would be greatly appreciated!

Went waay to niche and learned from my mistake

I began making apps some months ago, thought i had a good idea (which was really niche) but i would use it so i thought i would just make it. spent way to long on it, launched it and got like 50 downloads in 3 months. so i learned from my mistake and went something less niche. The first app was in the slammed cars niche (since i really like cars) but that was just way too small and also hard to advertise to people. so now i just made a app for cars in general. Its basically Tinder but for selling cars. so less niche but still within the cars categorie since im passionate about cars :) Hope this one does better. also because its way easier to advertise to people.

Thats it thanks!

Share your startup for the world to see

I will start, I built a navigation app for people with low cars. Navigate around speedbumps. Create car meets and share your build on the social feed with ScrapeSafe. Availlable on ios and android www.scrapesafe.app

(almost) Everyone wants to own a low sportscar until you daily drive it.

So i bought a mx5 when i was 17 and lowered it. it was great. looked cool and drove amazing. 1 problem, Scraping your front bumper. every. single. time. Thats why i started looking for navigation app that has a avoid speedbump feature. closest thing i could find was waze but that didnt really navigate around the speedbumps but just told you there is one. So i made my own app to my own problem. I registered a company and everything. My thought proccess was that if i have this problem more people have it. and otherwise its a good experience to have (like the accounting and stuff) for when i start a successfull business :) i recently published on ios and android its called scrapesafe. :)

App finally done and approved!

So i have been making a app for the past couple of months, its a navigation app for low cars so they can navigate around speedbumps and people can also make car meets etc.

After a couple of months of making the app and then another month of going back and fourth with testers, google and apple the app is finally approved and ready! There are probably alot of things i can still improve on but im happy with how it turned out for now!

1.0.0 of my app is DONE

After 4 months of creating the app, testing the app. fixing something, accidentally breaking something. and doing that over and over again. i finally finished my app. and is off to review. on the appstore and playstore. i already have the pre registering on the playstore. Apple taking a little bit longer.

What does the app?
its a navigation app for people with low cars. it has alot of speedbumps marked out and not only that (because waze already has that and competing with them is wasted time) you can actually route AROUND the bumps and take the route with the least amount of speedbumps. so people who care about their front lip wont scrape them. the app name is ScrapeSafe. kinda self explainatory id say haha.

I already reached out to alot of local tiktok creators with 10-50k followers and offered them affiliate deals. So like if you get someone to subscribe to the pro version you get 2 dollars. that kinda stuff. so i have less upfront costs for marketing.

Does anyone have tips for first time release. never done something like this and im very excited for whats to come!

If someone wants to the landing page out check scrapesafe.app
