Day 13 on pill version…do I tap out?

I’m on day 13 and am struggling with the side effects. I’m really wondering if I need to tap out and see about trying a different GLP1. I’ve been following all the advice about water, electrolytes, eat small protein focused meals, eat slow, etc. Pretty much every day on this medicine, I am either fatigued, nauseous, have a headache, bloated or all four. It’s been disruptive to my work. My caloric intake is down but not so far down that I’d expect to feel this crappy. And I’ve felt worse in week 2 than week 1. I’m not sure what to do, since I don’t want to throw this effort away. I keep thinking the next day I will feel more normal and it just doesn’t happen. Should I stick it out longer and see if these side effects subside?

WeGovy pill question

If you take the pill (I’m on 1.5mg) first thing in the morning and wait 60 mins to eat or drink, do you get more of the drug in your system then if you only wait 30 mins? What about waiting 90 mins or two hours?

A-Basin…bike pass?

I just got an email from A-Basin about summer activities and with a Summer pass, you get a bike pass (along with all the other stuff, like lift rides and a Via Ferrata tour). Does anyone know more? Does this mean mountain bike shuttles?!

Day 4 of pill: nausea, headache and fatigue….

I’ve had these symptoms for days 2-4. I assume this is pretty normal? Will they subside?

Denver to Pasadena?

I posted recently about moving from Denver to San Diego. Now I’m interested in Pasadena after doing some research. I’ve never been able to see my family living IN LA, but Pasadena seems like an amazing place. I could see my outdoorsy family of 3 (with a kid entering high school) really liking Pasadena.

My pros: it has a walkable downtown, nice architecture, is green most of the year, close to hiking and biking and skiing (does Mt Baldy stay open consistently from Dec to April?), semi-close to beach (in relation to Denver haha), and close to LA. Cons: pricey, hot in summer, more crowded than Denver, has smog issues, huge wildfire risk…

Roof slope verification

We’re having an issue with the construction of a house in the mountains of Colorado. The roof was designed to be 4:12, and that is reflected in the structural framing plan and the spot elevations of the roof members. The GC is saying the roof has been built “per the plans” but we are almost positive it’s not 4:12. There are two trapezoid windows that arrived onsite that have a sloped top to match the roof slope and those are definitely 4:12 (by measuring them). How does one accurately verify the roof slope when it’s 3 stories up? With a roof slope measurement tool? Even though the GC says the roof is per plans, should we force them to prove to us that the roof is 4:12 by measuring it with a tool?

Started today and ate about what I normally do. I’m noticing some nausea after having dinner tonight. I’m guessing that’s normal and will go away as my body gets used to the pill? And/or is it a sign I ate a bit too much?

For a few years now, the conversation of moving from Denver to the San Diego area (likely North County/Carlsbad) has come up between my wife and I (early 50s) and our kid (14). Our kid is now finishing up 8th grade so the conversation has come back up since she’d be starting a new high school anyway.

I’ve always loved SD and North County. My wife grew up in the Encinitas area and our trips back have always been awesome. I do love the beach and ocean and can imagine doing lots of walking on the beach, swimming in the ocean and biking on the coast highway.

We’ve been in Denver for 21 years and while we still like it, the thought of change is intriguing. I’m just scared that I’ll move to SD and miss the amazing natural scenery here: the mountains, the mountain towns, the skiing, the mountain biking and the hiking. I know you can do all that when living in SD but it’s just not the same as Colorado, or as close.

We don’t have much interest in Denver proper - we barely go downtown anymore and neither of them are interested in moving to a suburb of Denver, like Golden, Boulder or Louisville (I would consider that). Housing-wise, we’ve done well here since we bought our house way before Denver’s popularity increased, so we can actually find something decent in North County / Carlsbad, but in-land, east of the 5.

My wife also has bad allergies so I think living in SD and not Denver would help her?

Are we crazy to leave, especially now with the cost of living everywhere being so bad? How insane is the traffic? Is it a fantasy to think we as a family could go to the beach 2 times a week after school or work and walk even though we’d likely be unable to afford something west of the 5? Am I likely to miss all the things that is so great about Colorado? Am I looking at SD living with rose colored glasses?

I need to get a new laptop that can run Revit. What do you all suggest? Most of my work is done on a PC so I am looking for something cheap. I don’t need it for any rendering - only for occasional times when I’m out and about and need to do a quick drawing revision or on a working vacation and need to do an hour of simple Revit drawing work. With this week’s new snow, what are the chances Copper and/or ABasin extends for a bonus week next week?
