Does anyone actually find serious, transparent matches here? Or just people playing games?

Does anyone actually find serious, transparent matches here? Or just people playing games?

Salam everyone,

I’m genuinely curious to hear from the community—has anyone here actually found a serious, respectful, and transparent match that led to something real? Someone who was honest from day one about their intentions and timeline?

It feels like a lot of interactions start out okay, but quickly devolve into people hiding things, playing games, or just looking for casual conversation under the guise of "seeking marriage."

If you or anyone you know actually found a genuine success story through this sub, please share it below. I could really use some reassurance that there are still serious, sincere people on here who respect the process!

Does anyone actually find real, loyal friends here? (Without the hidden motives)

Hey everyone, I’m genuinely curious—has anyone here actually found a great, respectful, and fiercely loyal best friend? Someone who stays around, checks in on you, and didn't just message you hoping it would turn into something physical or weird?

It feels like every time you think you’re having a genuine, platonic connection, a hidden motive pops up. I just want to know if there's hope and if anyone has real success stories of long-term friendships that started right in this sub.

If you found your person here, please drop your story below. I could really use some wholesome reassurance today!

The 3rd grade DPS Model Town Eidi heist that I still think about 😭

Back in 3rd grade at DPS Model Town (Section D), I was the most introverted kid ever. Zero noise, no tantrums, just totally in my own world.

My mom still brings it up with the sweetest smile. While other kids were crying or throwing full-blown stubborn tantrums for toys and pocket money, I’d literally leave a 10 Rs note in the car if she tried giving it to me. She always cherished how gentle and unbothered I was as a tiny kid.

So on Eid that year, I finally decided to bring my Eidi to school (maybe 100 or 500 Rs) to spend at the Junior Wing canteen. Walking down the path right near the mosque, three senior guys cornered me.

They pulled the ultimate fake-authority scam: "We’re prefects, money isn't allowed in school." Being a tiny, terrified kid, I took the cash out of my pocket to show them. One snatched it, and all three instantly sprinted off in completely separate directions like a coordinated heist 💀 I just stood there crying, too scared to even tell my teachers or parents.

What’s wild is I forgot almost everything else from that incident , but I never forgot his face. I still see the guy around Model Town. Zero bad blood or resentment though—kids make dumb mistakes, people grow up, and I've completely forgiven him.

Looking back now, life shifted so much in the best way. Went from a super shy kid who couldn't utter a word to total strangers to being super outgoing with an amazing circle of friends. All thanks to ALLAH.

Anyone else have weird fake-prefect scams or core childhood memories locked in like this?

Civic maintenance in Lahore vs Karachi — why does the country's economic engine get the short end of the stick?

Spotted this fully equipped road-scrubbing truck doing rounds in Model Town, Lahore today. The streets here get regular municipal attention, but every time I look at Karachi, the difference in basic municipal services is night and day.

Karachi feeds the entire national economy, yet basic civic amenities—decent roads, clean streets, working drainage—feel practically nonexistent in comparison. How long does a city carrying the financial weight of the country have to deal with broken infrastructure?

The slow death of the Punjabi pind vibe — Outskirts of Lahore 💔🌾

Took a trip to my relatives' village just outside Lahore, and it’s crazy how much the vibe has shifted.

A few years back, this place was all kacha houses, quiet dirt paths, and absolute peace. Now, the urban sprawl has swallowed it up. The rustic scenery has been entirely replaced by concrete blocks, constant engine noises, and paved roads.

I'm definitely glad the people living here have better facilities and an easier lifestyle now, but it's bittersweet. It honestly feels like the true essence of the pind has been lost to generic construction.

Rate this Suzuki FX I photographed 🍁👑

Captured this shot a while back and always loved the mood of it. The fallen leaves, the worn-out bumper, and that yellow Karachi plate give it so much character.

Before the Mehran took over, this was the absolute king of Pakistani roads. To me, it looks like a beautiful piece of our local automotive history just taking a breather.

What are your favorite memories with an FX?
