Another fuck Hollister post! How did my bag pop in the middle of it? Like where my stoma is??

I was working out like I always do a couple of times a week! Wearing my supportx support wrap. Same workout as always! Took about an hour and a half to do and when I was done and opened my support belt I saw the leak..

It's happened before, air gets in or the stoma is too active and I'd have a blow out and it would be at the side of the bag or it would leak under the flange.. but today! The dead centre of my bag where my stoma is, maybe 2cm above it.. I do do a couple of sets of Burpees where I'm lying flat on the ground, no issues before with it, but these new bags are absolute rubbish..

I was already covered so I went to investigate, I thought it had come out the (for show) air filter.. but nope, just a random horizontal slit in the bag!

Just Hollister things I suppose?!

Do any of you workout without any form of support wrap? I'm always afraid of hernias so I wear mine but I was wondering do I really need it after 5 years?

Do you know of clothing that is as good as Moto gear?

I read a post ages ago where a guy praised his old carhartt work pants for not tearing to shreds when he lowsided.. also a comment where someone said most real leather jackets are as good as bike gear just without the armour! No idea if it's true though?

Obviously I'm not trying to substitute normal clothes for gear, I'm just curious!

Is there anything I can do to actually help this or is it like this forever? Feeling defeated..Rant..

33 ,male, slipped or herniated disc in thoracic spine, t9 or 10.. I don't much care anymore! MRI confirmed two months ago..

Not really looking for advice, just need a space to rant really, if you have a success story then comment away! Id love to know that there is a dream of hope!

I'm having a hard time with it, can't stand up straight or lie down flat, but I can stand with a hunch or sleep with 2 to 3 pillows and there is no pain.. other than that the pain wraps around my sides..

Ive completely stopped working out, I don't know if it's a good idea but docs just keep saying "do what doesn't aggravate it".. should I stretch more? Should I stop?

One day I woke up and all the pain was gone, genuinely thought I was cured but 2 days later and it was back again, I didn't even do anything?

Should I workout like I used to? Should I swim again?.. right now I'm outta work and the job I'm starting soon requires a lot of lifting.. so do I just show up and try? Just hope I'm fine?

Can you make an already slipped disc worse? Or is it slipped and that's the way it stays?? 2 docs and 1 physio and no answers.. if someone says ,"how long is a piece of string" to me when I ask if it can get better, I'm gonna use the string on them!

Ive been all over the internet and read, watched and re read loads on the healing and some people say it's possible and others disagree? Iv booked another MRI for a couple of months time to actually check and get my own answers..

Feeling absolutely defeated but it all, got diagnosed with arthritis about 11 months ago and that's gotten worse from doing nothing, but I'm doing nothing because of my back? So it's a catch 22..

I've done a few stretches and that and I'll say one thing, atleast they killed a half an hour here and there! They didn't do much else!

Sorry for the depressing rant! Needed to get it out of my head and onto (virtual) paper..

Do you find that your stoma gets bigger over time?

Basically I've had my stoma for about 5 years now. It's not swollen or prolapsed or anything and works perfectly but I've used a 38mm flange since but I've noticed lately that it's kinda pushing passed it now. To the point where il probably go up a flange size..

Anyone else the same or smaller now even?.. haven't lost or gaining much weight either, it's more of a gradual increase tbh

Got diagnosed with arthritis in my hips a few years ago. Stopped working out with a back injury and now my hips are worse than ever! What gives?

Basically the title says it all. I got diagnosed roughly 2 and a half years ago after years of pain. So I always went to the gym and did a lot of mobility exercises for my hips at the end of my sessions, just ones from YouTube

About 2 months ago I hurt my back and was told by my doc to take time off until it's better. Anyway I haven't done anything since then and now my hips are way more painful now! What gives? I thought a rest might help my whole body, not make it worse?

My hips were still after I drove my motorbike for an hour but now they just straight up hurt and it usually lasts the day sometimes longer!

Doc said my arthritis was caused by wear and tear but it was sped up due to other autoimmune conditions. But now no wear seems to equal more tear?! **Angrily shakes fist at sky**..

What game would you recommend for a nice relaxing time that isn't repetitive?

Basically iv played horizon cotm and the saints and sinners games! Id love a game that is nice and relaxing but I feel as if it would get so repetitive and no goals or quests would get quite boring. Thinking along the lines of Pokémon where it's just easy but not exactly boring if that makes sense.

I've seen a kayak type game but I feel as if it would get boring after the first couple of hours. Or am I putting myself in a catch 22 type situation?

What games in your opinion are visually appealing and just kind of easy? Not exactly made for a challenge if that makes sense? I'm on psvr2 also if that makes a difference

Best windscreen for a 6ft tall rider?

I was looking at the puig ones and that, I have a 30min drive at 120kph each way a couple of times a week and the wind is just a pain to deal with. Any recommendations?

Also if anyone bought the side tank pads of Amazon, are they any good? Mainly interested in the windscreen though!

Lads I'm trying to find a hoodie a biker was wearing while they passed me today! It was class and I want it haha

So I was in the missus car today heading towards Limerick this morning and a biker passed us and I just loved the hoodie he was wearing.

I don't know if it was an armoured hoodie or he/she had on the under armour on but there was definitely something, it was a black hoodie bit it had MotoGP on the bottom across and a big graffiti type design on the back, it said "zo" and then something else written on it in the graffiti design thing..

It looked absolutely deadly, Google isn't helping me (or I'm shit at it). I went through all the MotoGP clothes and it's not there.

On the off chance someone can help? Cause yer a great bunch of bikers 🤗 haha

Can I exercise with a herniated disc in my thoracic spine?

Male, 33, 6f 1in, roughly 84kg in weight.

Basically I slipped a disc a month ago, had an MRI to confirm, it's in the thoracic region, doc described it as t with a number. It happened while I was lifting weights.

Basically can I exercise? Swim or surf or gym mainly. And what to things avoid to if I can? Physio appointment is booked I just have to wait a couple of weeks as she is busy. I obviously don't want to make it worse but my doc just said I'm going to feel pain but to just go about my day? I asked about exercise and he said it varies from person to person.

Walking and sitting are fine, I get a lot of pain if I try and stand up straight, think army posture straight and if I lie flat at night. 2 or 3 pillows and there is no pain. I understand that sometimes they heal and others require intervention. Or should I wait a few months to leave it settle kinda thing?

Textile or leather? Whats your preference?

So I'm in the market for a new jacket. Iv had an rst textile one for years, honestly it's brilliant, removable thermal lining, all the armour included. It was even waterproof for the first few years. The only downside is I sweat like a gypsy with a mortgage in the summer!

Which one do you wear? How do you find it in regards to the Irish weather? Would leather be better with wind resistance and waterproof or does it seap in at the seams?

What sites do you find are good? No customs to Ireland and that? Cheap(er) delivery?.. I prefer the bomber/shortie style jackets if it makes any difference.

Middle back pain not getting better (or worse)?

Over a month ago I hurt my back putting away weights after a workout. I was bending down and felt my back just pop/pull to the right, besides my spine. Legs went tingly and I started shaking with pain.

I knew immediately to stop moving and just lay down. Basically gave 2 days lying down until it got to the point where I could move but not freely. It was sore for a few days when I put my head down but that went away within the first week. Then that was it. Same pain since then going on over a month now.

Standing upright is ok, but if I stand completely upright the pain is intense. Standing for too long and my lower back gets completely stiff but that goes away once I sit down. I have absolutely no pain sitting down whatsoever! Lying down is a different story, if I'm lying flat I get bad constant pain right in my middle back until I sit up, then it goes away. It constantly feels like it's going to give way so to speak. If I pull my elbows back like a row type motion I can feel the pain, but no pain when twisting?

I did physio the first week with it. I was told to touch my toes and twist certain ways and I was okay, there was more pain standing up straight. I was told to stop exercising so I did and just to walk and do very light everyday movements with perfect form. Absolutely no heavy lifting too.

I went to my doc, have to get an appointment for an X ray and if that shows nothing then it's an MRI after.

But it's coming up on 7ish weeks and no improvement? It doesn't get worse either? I'm not looking for a diagnosis, doc is on that, but has anyone experienced something similar? Usually if I tweek it gets better over time, this just hasn't?

Cleaning mold off boots?

So I was out in the rain and then left the boots in the shoe box, less than a month and they were absolutely covered in mold. I scrubbed them with a mix of vinegar, baking soda and warm water with a brush and even used a toothbrush for the zips and what not. I let them soak in it too for an hour and scrubbed the mesh and that inside them.

They're drying now, the vinegar smell is horrendous but that will be for another day. But there is mold starting to come back. Little bits on the outside again. I scrubbed them again but it's starting to come back again.

What can I do? I don't wanna throw them away but I don't exactly what to have to scrub them a couple of times a week too

Finding myself being bored on the bike lately, driving it for the sake of driving rather than actually going somewhere!.. I usually head up the vee in tipperary/waterford as it's only 50 mins away.. bit of a walk and nice scenery and can head into one of the villages/town for a coffee..

So where do you go? Somewhere with stuff to do, walks, nice food spots, nice twisty roads, more cheap and cheerful type spins!
