Help Me Plan a Beetlejuice Sandworm?

I have done some pretty large scale prop/decoration builds in the past and have a general idea, but would love to bounce my plans off some other people.

I want to build the sandworm from Beetlejuice large enough to be in my front yard for Halloween. I’m thinking the head section will be maybe 5’ tall as a minimum (would love to feel confident building taller but unsure), for scale.

I’m sure I will be somewhere in the range of chicken wire/paper mache/air dry clay/joint compound, but for something so large I am also kicking around doing something more cardboard based?

Please spam me with any and all ideas you may have.

Photos of some past builds and my Beetlejuice year (in front of someone else’s inflatable) for tax.

Help - returned to a deflating plant

I have been trying to rehab this peyote for many months, I took it from its original home where it lived on a perpetually wet piece of wood in the dark. I tried moving it to new media and a window in that office but it wasn’t enough al I brought it home a couple months ago. Since then I had it living under two Barrina T5 stick lights. It’s in an 80% inorganic succulent mix.

I went away for a week and it was not in need of water when I left but definitely hadn’t been watered immediately before then. I came home last night and it was noticeably deflated looking and I can’t tell if the discoloration has spread. It had some discoloration already, and the scarring has been on it since I got it.

I watered it last night and it is less squishy this morning but still deflated looking. These photos are from this morning.

Thoughts on its condition? The super slow growth rate really stresses me out because I don’t know what I’m doing.

New Enclosure Feedback

Hello! I just did the initial revamp of our Thorne’s enclosure and would love feedback. Some of my water props weren’t ready to go in so I’ll still need to add some larger/longer vines that will fill in the upper portion. I’ve got leca balls on the bottom, substrate, dwarf white isopods, springtails, and everything else you can see.

She used to hide under the moss on top of the substrate, but would come out, hoping she finds some more “out” hiding spots now. Her old plants died and she was without for a bit.

Just Getting Started

Hello! I have taken in two peyote plants that were in rough shape, I don’t have any experience in cacti in general (some succulent time, but lots of other plant knowledge). They were living in a dark office away from windows on a log and were being watered a LOT.

I repotted them in 90% inorganic mix and loved them toward a window but ultimately determined the light was inefficient in the office and have brought them home. They are living in a deep-set NW window that faces another house so I put a light about 12” above them (24W 4000K full spectrum).

I suspected root rot on the smaller and cut it, I did find a rot spot on the side of the main root, I have been callousing the healthy top.

Now I am paranoid about the other one and would love a system check from more knowledgeable people please! I am feeling some squishiness (but not mushy) where the corked band meets the top, but the top feels like a rubber ball.

The wounds were on it when I took over 6 months ago.

Cheers!
