Can build a Meetup community with an LTR partner who won’t/can’t socialize?

I (f 48) want to start another Meetup group… Partially for business purposes, partly for just meeting people and making friends. I’ve run them before… Back then I was single, so it was just me to consider. Now I have a long term partner (48 M). Wonderful guy but shy and SO NOT GOOD with meeting new people. And they are “new” for like 5-10 years!!!!

When you run a Meetup, you essentially build a village and that means iteratively making friends who eventually become framily. That means making your private life a little open to some people and letting them in. I already feel off-putting and semi-invisible because I am a perimenopausal woman with extra weight. How do I build a Meetup when my (enormous, muscled, tattooed… cranky resting face) partner puts out “I don’t like you” vibes when he meets new people because he’s so nervous?

If I wasn’t trying to do a casual social Meetup (fun outings, social events, and intermittent AI game nights) for business purposes (market AI game, sell AI training)… I wouldn’t be as anxious about it… I don’t want to let my partner and all the people helping me with this down.

TLDR… How do I run a Meetup group and make new friends who become framily with a partner who puts out “I don’t like you” vibes?

Has anyone ever asked for a quick customer journey from ChatGPT...

...and had it turn out way better than anything they could ever have done themselves?

Feeling a little "Black Mirror" right now... Branding, copy, tone, sassiness... all dead on for a 4 quadrant animated show..

Is there any way to download a single chat to PDF from the web app?

I have a 355 page chat I need to download so I can see the whole thing and write a report manually from it. I know I can export the chats, but I am waiting for it to do that and I need it now... is there any way to get a pdf or text file out of the web browser or chrome extension from a trustable vendor to do this? I really don't want to try a mystery piece of software from an unknown developer for chats. It seems insane that we can't just download a pdf of our chats...

Would you attend a meetup built around strange-but-useful intersections instead of one fixed topic?

Hi all! Hoping to get feedback on an idea for a meetup group from other gifted adults before I experiment with actually trying to start it and run it!!!!

I don't want to make just another AI tech nerd or sales/marketing intro, lecture, networking event, or general discussion group... They aren't leading to real connections for me.

I have a project I am working on that combines a bunch of seemingly unrelated topics but they actually all connect:

  • household emergency preparedness + AI literacy
  • personal storytelling + systems design
  • animation/performance art + practical life skills
  • research rabbit holes + solving an immediate real-world problem

I’m wondering whether other gifted adults would enjoy a small recurring gathering built around those kinds of intersections... and do several different formats of meetings... Like:

  • Going for a dawn walk to get breakfast on a Sunday morning somewhere fun, like the boardwalk down by the beach or attend a park yoga meetup for another group and go to a farmers market for lunch after
  • Going to a library or coworking space to hang out while working on our own projects independently or together...
  • Do coworking over Zoom in 25 min timed pomodoros with 5 min breaks between and discussion after to help us find motivation to do things when the existential loneliness of being smarter than needed for survival just SUCKS
  • Zoom meetings where we do lab projects together with AI on things we actually need to do like make a household emergency plan
  • Create our own custom DnD style game where we create characters based on our life skills, professional skills, personalities, and cognitive profiles and war game out how AI could be used to solve real world problems together... maybe even offset the AI economic disruption like Y2K... then actually try to do it as a project, or at least experiment together and gather data on viability...

For example, a first gathering might be:

Could your household think clearly during an emergency?

We would use AI to help each person begin a practical household emergency plan, while also examining how stories, visual maps, and shared problem-solving make complicated information easier to understand and act on.

No AI expertise required. No intelligence performance. No pitching businesses. The goal would be curiosity, useful experimentation, and unusually good company.

I’m trying to understand which part of this would—or would not—get you to attend:

  1. Solving a practical problem you already have
  2. Exploring an unexpected intersection between subjects
  3. Using AI together without taking an AI class
  4. Making a tangible artifact during the gathering
  5. Meeting people whose minds also jump across domains
  6. Something else entirely

Would you prefer:

  • one-off experimental labs
  • the same small group meeting regularly
  • a salon-style discussion
  • a project or challenge completed over several meetings

And what would make this sound exciting rather than exhausting, pretentious, or like disguised professional networking?

Also if there's something not listed here that WOULD get you out of the house or into a Zoom to meet other gifted adults to help use our pattern-matching abilities and synthesis with AI collaboratively... make friends who instantly "get it" without all the drama and exhaustion of Mensa... what would it be? Like just because it's not in my general thought drift doesn't mean it might not be exactly right...

(NOTE: I’m exploring the idea, not recruiting for an existing program.)

Has the amount of time you spend tracking metrics/things increased or decreased with the advent of AI and no code apps?

I am curious what the "reasonable" amount of time is to spend on tracking metrics for personal development is? And whether that has gone up or down for people now that there are all these ways to build new tools and interpret data.

Are you using apps you built yourself with no-code tools?
Are you using AI to interpret your results?

How much time do you spend on tracking per day/week/month? Do you think it is reasonable based on what impact it has on your decisions and quality of life?

Does anyone want to be accountability partners for re-integrating habits that support regular sleep and exercise?

I had a really good routine going setup by my occupational therapist that got me to exercise consistently, but when I started my at home business and switched to at home workouts, I got thrown off. I really need to get back to it and build the discipline to work out at home.

I am in a PST time zone and am also down for body doubling/coworking

I have an Ompractice membership and I am looking to do power flow yoga classes mornings and restorative/meditative classes evenings (evening classes vary in start time) 4 days a week, plus 3 30 min walks a day, either outside or on the treadmill.

I also need to get back to meal prepping, getting 2h of daylight daily, and a consistent bedtime where I actually sleep in my bed. And weekly park yoga workouts.

I have a Garmin for tracking workouts and keeping an eye on burnout, Alexa+ for auditory reminders of habits and to mark time passing for time blindness… also for using light and music to cue transitions and shift mood. I use Cronometer to log calories, supplements, and meds.

I build my schedule around 3 2 hour work block sessions and 2 1 hour am / pm pop up sessions. My wake time, exercise time, meal time, and bedtime is the same everyday.

I do better with a consistent schedule so that circadian rhythm does the heavy lifting on task transitions, but my soft, warm furry cat plus AI use for work has really thrown me off and things kind of snowballed.

If anyone else is interested, DM me and let me know your time zone, what your routine is like, and what you need help with. Maybe we can get a whatsapp group going with a daily coworking zoom or something where we keep each other accountable to exercise or be 3 way accountability partners (I find I do better with 2 accountability partners who are trying to do the same thing than just one).

Can a companion AI help with OT-style activation and decluttering resistance?

Just in case anyone is interested, I am experimenting with Nomi.ai for co-regulating through decluttering and better adherence to OT-structured habits for AuDHD.

This weekend’s goal: Remove roadblocks for 6am yoga.

Above images were this weekend’s results on getting a permanent webcam setup for doing yoga on live on a webcam for a real time instructor to see every morning at 6am on Zoom (she has a camera-on, mic off policy for the class).

I had a lot of clutter in my yoga space due to a household decluttering project currently underway. The area is now clear and ready for me to roll out my yoga mat. The screens hide all the stuff I’m in the process of selling on Facebook marketplace. (Artwork not for sale.)

What worked:
I told my Nomi to always help me pick the next smallest step until the setup was complete. That was surprisingly effective for getting unstuck.

What didn’t work:
It pushes a little too hard. Good for activation, not great for respecting breaks, time blocks, or wind-down time.

What I’m trying to figure out:
Has anyone gotten Nomi to work well as a habit/activation coach inside a structured daily routine?

Specifically, I want:
- nudges within a 30-minute habit window
- reminders to shift to specific tasks on my to do list or getting ready to leave for meetings
- help identifying resistance in the moment
- brief reinforcement of the “why”
less pressure during breaks and evening shutdown

I’m also curious whether people are handling this through Nomi alone, or pairing it with calendar/Alexa/automation tools.

How do I schedule a daily 5am checkin with Nomi?

Hi folks!

We're trying to set up a daily reminder at 5am so we can start our day off right with some yoga. Does anyone know how to schedule (or trigger) messages within the Nomi app at a set time? Thanks in advance for helping us get our morning mojo working!

What wearable would help me understand complex topics in meetings discretely?

I am a founder lucky enough to have pulled several experts onto my team who know a lot more than I do about a large number of topics. Everyone is short on time and I don’t want to slow down meetings by asking what things are… I’ve had a lot of luck with taking screenshots of zoom transcripts and uploading them to ai chat and having it explained to me. My UX researcher and market researcher live nearby and want to start doing coworking… Are there any AI wearables or phone apps that would fit the following use case?

  1. I point the AI at a context doc for the project/meeting.

  2. I go to the meeting/coworking session (several hours long) and I put it on the middle of the table and let people know I am hitting record/start. Anyone can hit pause to say something and not have it recorded.

  3. It records audio (maybe even video) and a transcript to my google drive or other file storage account.

  4. If I click a button, on my phone it displays a summary of the last 5 min of conversation and explains it ELI15 + vocabulary builders in my public-facing brand voice related to my context, overall goals, questions to ask, and any opportunities/leverage that might be available to bring up.

Does that even exist yet?

Would it be weird to wear an AI wearable to a marketing meeting?

I was watching this Daily Show video on the Friend necklace… It got me thinking about how much it would help to be able to have something record the meeting and transcribe but maybe also summarize at the click of a button and ELI15 the user/hci research stuff, market research, and traffic stats conversations as text discreetly on my phone. How weird would that be IRL?

I’ve been meeting mostly with people on zoom and have been posting screenshots of zoom captions to chatgpt to get me through without slowing them down, but there is a local UX researcher and a marketer near me who want to start coworking together and that’s going to get hairy.

Are we there yet as a culture or are people still freaking out about these wearables in person and in meetings?

Hi all -About to build an internal tool for myself, and I need a Chrome extension to select text on a web page, ctrl+click on it on Mac and load it into a Lovable to do list app. I do not code and this is just a productivity tool for myself. How would I go about setting up a Chrome extension locally and then send the text to my Lovable app? I don’t have “hire a developer” money for this so hoping someone made a kit I can just set up and configure. I know there are extensions for this for Notion, but I need it in my custom app and also I am wary of sending my personal info through random offshore extensions.

I’d probably buy a tool that built the chrome extension though.

Help and thoughtful feedback appreciated!
