Bitte jemand in das gewisse subreddit posten. Bin gerade gebannt xD

Natürlich darf sich jeder eine Klimaanlage kaufen. Aber ich find immer die Diskussion geht dann immer vorbei an dem eigentlichen Problem

Plasma reacting slow to open any windows or applying changes. Thermal Monitor by Olib setting show history for n-seconds

So i had a similar issue as stated here Fedora KDE becomes suddenly slow - Framework Laptop 13 / Linux - Framework Community only that i was using a thinkpad instead of a framework laptop.

After some thinking what i changed that day i realised that i also changed the behavior of the thermal monitor widget by olib. I changed the history to 3600 seconds because I thought it would be interesting to see the temperature changes throughout a gaming session. However this made everything around plasma react super slowly and with a considerable time delay. I pain stakenly uninstalled / removed the widget and plasma was reacting fast again right away.

Just to put this out there if other people out there run into the same problem :)

Anything to do after changing the RAM?

I'm considering upgrading the RAM on my thinkpad E14 G7 with the 255H processor from 1x 32GB to 2x 16 GB because I've read that the dual RAM setup has a better iGPU performance. Is there anything I have to do after changing the hardware? Or is it just plug and play from the user perspective?

How do make a root directory accessible without adminstrator rights?

Hello, I would like to keep all my personal data on a as short as possible path. That's why I created a folder under /Data . Unfortunately, I still can not create directories and folders within /Data without administrator rights. I already tried the google slop answer with creating a new group called "shared-access".

I really dont like having all my data under /home/username/Data .

Unsafe shutdowns everytime i shutdown

Hello, everytime i shutdown and start my system i have another unsafe shutdown. Current Fedora KDE. I have a ntfs partition on it aswell. Could that be the case? The two other 250 GB partitions are other Linux distros i tested out at some point and the ntfs i dont use currently but i found useful because its accessible through windows though i currently dont use it. I also have the SSD connected via USB C because its cooler outside the case. But my pc is in the closet and never gets touched so i doubt its any connectivity issue

A short google also gave me this here:

also unsolved
