I have a collection of mostly unbuilt sisters from way back when the plastics came out back in 8th. However I felt that my painting skills back then was not good enough to do the models justice and I was not able to bring to life what I had envisioned.

Fast forward to 2026 and I think I have grown enough as a painter to do these amazing models the justice they deserve. So I present my test model for my custom (yet to be named) Order.

Finished my first squad of Cadians for my 11th edition Guard army. From starting the test model to finishing this squad took about 5 weeks and upwards of 80+ hours.

At this rate, I might have a playable 2000 points army by the start of 12th edition.

Finished up my first 5 guardsmen.

Really enjoyed painting these guys and my first time using weathering pigments.. I really like using the pigments to do the dusty weathering, but I think I need to refine my execution.

I think I'm also going to go back and paint some scratches and chips on their armour to give it a bit more texture as right now I feel like it looks quite flat.

Overall these 5 took about 30ish hours to finish... so a full guard army is going to be a very long project.

Looking to start guard for 11th. I wanted to have a desert camo scheme so I took inspiration from the 3rd edition codex.
