Can you find the tuna in my tuna wrap?

The local market had this tuna wrap on sale, which I figured was because it needed to be eaten asap. As that was my plan anyway, I bought it.

Apparently, it was discounted because it contained almost no tuna. Lots and lots of lettuce, but very little tuna.

SMART Train

On June 2nd, we’ll have a chance to vote ‘Yes’ on Measure B  so that we can keep the SMART train in our community. I hope that all of your readers will take a ride and experience the joy of flying down the tracks surrounded by students, seniors, commuters and, at the right time of day, party-goers.  As we zip by the congestion on 101, we’re all happy to be relaxing in our comfortable seats and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Not to mention, we
are not contributing to traffic jams.

If joy and delight don’t move you- then think about all of the economic benefits: it has doubled the communities investment by securing $735 M in outside grants;  provides easier commutes, more customers for local businesses, and support for jobs. 75% of SMART’s expenditures stay in the local economy.

Healdsburg itinerary

Hey fellow wine lovers!

I am planning a trip to Healdsburg in June and looking for recommendations on the best wineries within <30m drive.

Ideally looking for a blend of beautiful views, maybe a spot that does a good pairing lunch too, and a mix of nouveau and olde worlde style options. If it helps for context we did Napa area last yr and did stags leap, far niente and domaine carneos for a blend of vibes.

We are a foodie couple and we love wine and all things beautiful!

We also have a Rez for Cyrus one evening, a lunch planned at Madrona and have been told to check out the wine wall at Matheson.

TYIA!

Bringing the crew to wine country the first week of July...I need some recommendations for Russian River area wineries as well as the Healdsburg, Bennett Valley, Kenwood, and Glen Ellen areas.

Delicious wine is the primary focus ( I know I know you like what you like).

But I'm looking for diamonds in the rough, like Benovia.

Currently headed to Bacigalupi and Black Kite.

Thank y'all so much I love the community here.

Eighty-three hospitals in California are among 446 across 44 states and Washington, D.C., facing a heightened risk of closing, cutting services or laying off workers due to federal medicaid funding cuts, according to a new report.

These 446 at-risk hospitals collectively have 68,986 beds and served approximately 6.6 million patients in 2024. They employ approximately 275,458 direct patient care workers (this does not include non-medical workers, such as administrative staff).

Using census data to identify community demographics for each hospital,[5] We found that the communities served by these at-risk hospitals have a larger share of Black and Hispanic residents, as well as people living below the poverty line, than other hospitals. Longtime Spoon fan considering heading to Healdsburg for The Ramble on June 6. Best option for me is driving in, maybe day of, though that seems potentially challenging. I'd be going for the music, not the wine. Anyone in a similar position enjoyed the festival in past years? Anyone caution against the parking situation or crowds? Worried about the hassle and heat, not the cost. Thanks!
