Is it weird to say that I “wear” perfume?

The other day I was talking to someone and said that was wearing my new perfume. She paused and kinda looked at me like I was stupid. I didn’t realize why she was acting like that until she started laughing and said “ you WEAR perfume?” Like I had said it incorrectly.

I started laughing too because it was kind of awkward and just brushed it off by saying “oh haha yeah I mean spray perfume.” I’m just a little confused and embarrassed because I’ve literally always said that I wear perfume and I could’ve sworn that it was just what people say when using a perfume. Have I been saying it wrong this whole time? Does anyone else say that they “wear” perfume??

Does anyone else have trouble telling when you actually wouldn’t be able to do something vs anxiety convincing you can’t?

For context, I was invited to stay with someone in another state for 3 weeks the day before they were leaving. When we would get back I would have less than a month to prepare for college and I still have so much to get/do that I really don’t think I would have the time.

Part of me thinks this could be me just being anxious about going somewhere I’ve never been and so far away for 3 weeks. But I also feel like part of my reasoning is genuine.

Does anyone else have situations like this happen to them?

Asking teenagers if they want kids is predatory

Throughout my life I’ve been asked if I want kids or I’ve heard people say “when you have kids.” I am barely 18 now and I’ve realized how bizarre it is. Like why are you as an adult asking a child or teenager about whether or not they want to make a baby. It’s so gross and has always made me uncomfortable. It doesn’t help when the people asking are also the family pervs 💀.

Finished both of these today

I think the lotion is kinda overhyped, but I really like the body mist.

I’m so tired of “TikTok lesbians”

I know that people can explore their sexuality but posting things like this is so harmful to ACTUAL LESBIANS

Yelled at mom for not cleaning up after herself- AIO?

So for a little bit of background I (18 F) live in a very small apartment with my (63 F ) mother. For my whole life cleanliness has been a struggle for her. It’s actually one of the big reasons that my parents got a divorce. Back then it was usually just things like letting her junk pile up on the kitchen/living room tables, spilling things and just laying a towel on it, and lots and lots of hoarding.

While none of this has changed, things have actually gotten much worse. She will get bodily fluids (blood, snot, random stuff she coughs up) on the walls and NEVER cleans it off. I’ve also caught her eating out of the pot while cooking and licking the spoon then putting it back into the pot. These things are very disgusting to me, but what just happened was the final straw.

I went to use the bathroom and lifted up the toilet seat to to the entire seat splattered with vomit. Like, the toilet was full and there was clearly no attempt to clean or flush it. I asked her if she puked and she said yes. After that I went off. I screamed at her that she’s behaving like someone who needs to be put into an elderly home since she’s incapable of cleaning up after herself.

After that she just yelled at me and told me to get out of her bathroom and that she doesn’t want to see me for the rest of the night. It might be important to mention that the vomit thing has happened before. One time she had left a little bit on the floor and it dried. She also yelled at me for asking her to clean it up because I was “putting her down” for being so gross.

My mother is not mentally disabled for anyone wondering. She actively works and babysits. This is just how she is an I want to know if I’m as bad of a daughter as she says I am for judging her for it.

Guys, give me some reasons to get my drivers licenses

I’m very scared of driving but I feel so trapped in my house with my mother. She never wants to go anywhere unless it has to do with my little cousin. Even if me and her make plans to go somewhere, if my little cousins mom wants us to keep her then everything goes out the window.

While I’m scared of driving due to anxiety of being in an accident, I am more scared of rotting in this house. Please give me some positive reasons to get my license.

Big sigh

I’m so tired of this. These celebrities and influencers keep spreading misinformation and using words incorrectly.

Apparently being attracted to feminine women means you are secretly straight

So I don’t know if you all have been seeing these “what does my type say about me” on the personality test subreddit like I have, but just for fun I posted one on there. All of the women I posted were pretty feminine women.

Someone under my post commented that it means I’m actually straight and am just lying to myself. Now, it’s Reddit and people comment dumb stuff all the time so it didn’t really upset me, however, it reminded me that a lot of people in the community view feminine lesbians as “fake gays.”

As a feminine lesbian I have noticed this reaction a lot, specifically coming from those who identify as queer. Part of me wonders if it is due to this belief that women must be attracted to masculinity. Personally, I am attracted to both feminine and masculine women, my post just happened to be of feminine women I am attracted to.

Im honestly confused as to how these people view masculine women since many (not all of course) are attracted to feminine women. Has anyone else experienced seeing people act like this?
