caitlin was obviously a weirdo for sleeping with a student but Ellie doing what she did was so stupid, like genuinely because if you thought that Caitlin knew about you two, she would just react so nonchalantly and talk to you like it was nothing? I’m pretty sure if she was being a side chick on the low, she’d be surprised and trying to her hardest to explain to Ellie but she literally was treating it like gossip because she didn’t know about Ellie and Jesse.
Ellie is just dumb sometimes, she has every right to be upset and I know she was drunk but like do you really think Caitlin would be so relaxed about you catching her and Jessie if she knew about ellie? like
men, stop telling women to smile. these guys have a lot of nerve, ESPECIALLY the ugly ones. and i don’t care if that’s rude, why do you think you get to tell a random woman on the street what to do with their face? women are not performers, they are humans who exist & they’re not here to entertain you to make your day better. i used to do that shit when i was teenager, smiling and being polite to men on the street until many weird interactions i realized they get off on that & will take anything as a sign, no thanks. just had some fucking loser yell out at me from his car that i could smile, what the fuck is their to smile at? you? you’re tooth is missing! can’t even get my fav chips on a nice fall day without some weirdo disrupting my peace. fuck off.
at work today i saw like 2 pregnant women and omg their bellies r sooo cute!!! i think it’s so awesome how we can literally create life, like wow a baby inside of you. i don’t know if ill ever have kids but i wonder what ill look like if i do. i just think their bodies look really cute during pregnancy i just wanna rub their stomachs & hope the baby hears my supportive words 🥺 i know it must be hard tho to be pregnant. on a side note it makes me sad when a pregnant woman gets cheated on bc how could you do that to someone carrying ur literal child it’s horrible. we need to be more supportive of mothers in general they do it all
there is something so therapeutic about grocery stores. like as a kid i used to find them boring but now im 20 and i love going to grocery stores. just something so electric about going into a nicely lit or dim grocery store, not too big and bright like walmart, i love shoprite, stop & shop, target. aldi’s feels too much like a warehouse, and costco is…well costco. but it just feels like peak life sometimes going into a shoprite in the afternoon, the front store big windows creating a natural sunlight while everyone’s doing their thing. looking at all the selections of food, the fresh fruits, the pastries, the beverages and that smell as you walk past the already made food. filling your cart with whatever and going up to the self checkout, scanning items.
i think this is why i love being a cashier, i miss my cashier job at dollar tree honestly. sure i was tired at times but i loved scanning items, listening to the pos sounds & talking to a diverse network of customers, including the crazy ones which i laugh about as a memory. counting money and telling them to have a great day. you know how people say they love the feeling of walking out of a movie theater? that’s how i feel about grocery stores. i love feeling the outside air against me as i get my groceries and go :) it just feels so, idk how to explain it. i just love grocery stores, i feel this way about retail stores like kohls, and only kohl’s, it feels so 2013 every time i step inside there with the pop music playing and it’s warm air but not too hot, while the middle aged ladies shop. finding cute little hair products and the isle of random lip balms (my kohl’s has the regular eos lip balms again!!) i love the vibes of it all. its just a really nice outing.
I don’t get how 1996 babies are somehow considered gen z? I understand zillennial, they are in between but I just can’t consider anyone who’s graduation year was 2014 as Gen Z. Saying this as 2006 baby, but if they think their Gen Z then they are.
Something I have noticed that pisses me off is when usually cis women are talking about their experiences with cis men and their misogyny, and trans men try to say we’re invalidating their identity and not seeing them as real men because we make only focus on cis men.
Cis men create patriarchy, cis men oppress cis women, trans women AND trans men. women are constantly being harmed by cis men statistically and culturally, cis men are implanting laws to get rid of women’s autonomy. They are the most misogynistic group of people and they benefit from patriarchy more than anyone else. When we make the differentiate between cis and trans men it is not because we don’t see trans men as real men. Trans men are men, but they are NOT cis men. You are two groups of people in the same category, like how white men and black men are still men, but they’re still different in terms of race and live different lives. I am a black woman, I’m a woman like how white women are. But I am BLACK, we do not experience things the same. And that’s okay.
The part that just really irks me is this weird notion I’m getting is that you \*want\* to be included in the demographic of men we’re talking about, as if misogyny makes you feel like a real man and that’s really weird. Or that women should stop talking about their experiences with cis men because they’re not “including” trans men, when that’s not the point and not a factor when we’re talking about real life oppression. I don’t see it coming from a place of that trans men can be misogynistic so that’s why we shouldn’t separate them, it’s always from a “my feelings” place and I hate that. Even though trans men can be misogynistic, they don’t have any systematic power over cis women and that’s not invalidating anyone’s identity by stating that.
And I’m talking about this specific scenario, in other cases I \*\*have\*\* seen cis women invalidating trans men in ways that infantilizes them and pedestalizes them which is very harmful and that needs to be called out. I’m talking about this situation specifically. Overall, I’m just tired of men’s feelings always needing to be considered as if they are more important than women’s suffering, it’s frustrating.
