Woods wont move. It would appear we are supposed to breach this wall but it doesnt let me do anything with it...anyone know?

I'll start with mine.

Swampert:

Is my favorite starter ever. Adorable baby form. Highest BST of any starter pokemon ever at full evo. Only 1 weakness. Can hit 14/17 types supereffectively with only 4 moves in its gen. 14/18 in other gens. Including its 1 weakness. Movepool is insane. Learns a STAB 100 bp 100% accuracy earthquake by level up. Could even use a servicable Dig for utility purposes. STAB water HMs with high phys attack Or Surf on a spec attack nature and ev build. Can learn powerful moves that inflict status damaging like scald for burning or sludge wave for poison. Brick break. Learns outrage through tutor which is unnecessary but awesome. Awesome design. Awesome mega. Sweet shiny. Just peak in every way

Torterra:

I have a bias for dual typing and ground types. Love the offensive perks. Grass is almost always my least favorite starter due to limited offensive (compared to water/fire) and many weaknesses. Ground dual type helps cover the offensive side. Also like turtles. Also cool idea historically with "the great world turtle" in many indigenous cultures. Decidueye close 2nd. Sceptile only outranked because of Swampert. Rillaboom i think its the absolute coolest grass starter but I just need dual type.

Charizard:

Again dual typing bias. Would realistically pick blaziken as i prefer those stats and typing slightly. However can't repeat gens so infernape is also out. Emboar has great stats and same typing but for some reason just not as attached to him. So if not emboar, Charizard gets the nod for nostalgia since I started with og RBY games.

This is my casual playthrough team just based of the reasons i listed.
