39M. I have my vasectomy scheduled for next Thursday. Honestly, I don't know why I waited this long. I probably should have done it five years ago.

Now that I'm saying that, this is the most certain I've ever been about going through with it. I haven't wanted kids for quite a while. I just hate going to the doctor.

BUT, I got a new PCP, and he's been super cool. He referred me to an in-network urologist. I had my consultation yesterday, and the urologist was a g-dang awesome dude. He explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions. He started by making sure I truly didn't want to have kids. He said some people come in thinking it's easy to reverse a vasectomy, but he stressed that you should treat it as a permanent decision. After the consultation, I've never felt better about getting this procedure. I am ready.

Anywho, just wanted to share.
