This has just arrived and is a new product. Dust speck under the front element - I only noticed when I was putting a protective filter on and there was dust I couldn't remove with a blower or cloth.

I've asked to return for a replacement but if they offered a discount is this something I should be concerned about long term - e.g. flaring as a result of it being there? I've never had a new Canon lens arrive with dust under the front element in 25 years of using their cameras and lenses. I'm just wondering what to do if they offer a reduction/partial refund vs replacement.

EDIT: Thanks for those who've replied. I've owned the 24-105 f4 in one form or another continuously for 15 years so it's probably the f4 camera karma Gods punishing me for selling my RF version to get the 24-70!

This was an incredibly foggy morning back in January - the deer appeared in view about 15-20m in front of me through the fog. Taken with the Canon R6II and RF 100-500L.

I'm surprised at how much I could recover from the original photo, but I'd appreciate any advice on further changes I could make as I just starting to learn some of the more advanced options of Lightroom Classic.
