What is this for?
Not sure what this is for and if I should just toss it in my metal recycling bin. Bought a big box of miscellaneous sockets and this was in there.

Egress window
I am looking to add soil around my house and have basement windows to an unregulated suite. I'd like to add window wells but I dont want to make them to high, probably 2-4" above the inside sill.
The sill inside are 1.4m above the floor and the bedroom window sill is probably closer to 1.7m above the floor.
Do the interior sill height make them non egress windows? For egress, the window wells need to be 30" from the face of the building. But if they're already non egress and the well won't be very high, is it worth having that much clearance?
