she’s a serial killer, 20 years old, and is sort of a vigilante in some way? but it turns out bad.

to give some more info, she’s lesbian and has a girlfriend, she hates homophobes and decides to begin killing them to better the world into people who support and are kind, but it goes too far and she begins to enjoy the killing.

so, this story is a bit dark, but it’s called “What a Grim Date.” by pocky_13.

i highly recommend it because I found it really interesting. (and it’s very short).

to make it simple without spoilers, it’s about an anonymous woman who goes on a date with death personified.

I’m gonna give you guys the full lore because it matters. (IT’S LONG BEWARE)

a little bit before summer started in 2025, me and my two friends were playing fortnite (a game called the pillars) and thought it would be funny to go into game channel and just have a very weird convo to see if anyone would hear. when we went to game channel, there was a boy already there. we ended up talking to him and he was really funny. he randomly said,

”you guys should friend me because I’m a god at this game.”

which made me like oh for sure I’ll friend you. so I did and my 2 friends did as well. he didn’t want to tell us his name so I offered we call him “Person”. he agreed and he referred to us like that as well.

anyways, i ended up getting scared so I told my mom that I made a friend online, just in case something happens and she can know before hand. she was a little iffy about it but said to just be careful and don’t say anything private. I would never. (cough cough, I ended up doing exactly that later on UHH.)

we didn’t play with him for a while but once summer started, I ended up playing with him by myself. we got along well and he was the type of teasing but lowkey nice boy. as someone who loves sarcasm, he had the PERFECT type of humor for me. sometimes he was out of pocket but never in a bad way.

soon enough, we were playing every single day and I was developing a small crush on him. once, when we played, he said ”you like me, don’t you?” (teasing)

I was like oh shit. I denied it but he would always say that randomly to tease me and I always denied (I’m an idiot). ALSO I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS BUT HE HAS/HAD THIS ADORABLE TEENAGE BOY VOICE AND IT CRACKED A LOT SO I WOULD TEASE HIM BUT IT WAS RAHHH.

anyways uhhmmm one day he invited another online friend of his who I’ll call Ganon (Idk). this boy sounded like he was 8 but claimed he was twelve so uhh, he might’ve been someone with a voice changer but I don’t talk to him anymore. Person, Ganon, and I played a random game and randomly Ganon asked “so, are you two dating?” I was dying with laughter (and was sort of excited). THEN Person said “I’ll let Person (referring to me) answer that”

I was still laughing and was too scared to talk. then Person says “I’m not hearing a no.” IN LIKE A TEASING VOICE. so of course I quickly say no while laughing. I might be delusional but was that some sort of flirting he was doing? Ganon did not believe us one bit so he just teased us by asking “when’s the wedding?“ and stuff like that.

so that’s one kinda flustering moment we had with each other. another day later on in summer, i’m playing with him and completely crashing out at the game (not really but I was frustrated). then he decides to say “calm down honey.” (I don’t quite remember what he said because I was so flustered by the honey that I forgot but HE SAID IT). when I don’t say anything, he says “sooo are we not gonna talk about the fact I just called you honey?” (I KNOW IT’S A LITTLE CRINGE BUT STILL) I was practically blushing (I don’t blush though so I probably just had a heat stroke or something). eventually (that same day) I had to go and told him that. he begged me to keep playing (okay not begged but I can’t think of a better word) with him and said he would tell me a secret if I stayed. I agreed and played a little longer. when I REALLY had to go, he told me the secret, he said “I like you” and left the party. WHAT THE FUCCCCCCCC. I got offline after that. (I thought about it for the next week)

we didn’t play for like a week because I was busy with stuff and he was too. when we did play, he asked me if I remembered what he said (the confession thing). my complete DUMBASS wanted to be funny and say “no”. WHY?? I DONT KNOW. but he sounded like he didn’t believe me. WE JUST MOVED ON?

after that, summer was ending so we didn’t play together as much but when we did we weren’t awkward at all and had fun. during one of those spontaneous days of playing together, I was telling him that my friend had texted me a middle finger emoji. he laughed and said “if I had your number I would do that a lot” or something like that. AND I ONLY RECENTLY REALIZED HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN FLIRITNG.

then summer ended and we almost never played together. I’m homeschooled and he’s public schooled. (also we live in the same state 2 hours away HAH). when we finally played together, I asked him “do you still think I like you?” because he hadn’t teased me in a while and I was scared he may have stopped liking me. (he probably did). he said “no” AND I WAS LIKE UGHGHGHGH. then he asks “why, did you?” I denied (AGAIN).

THEN WE STOPPED PLAYING TOGETHER FOR 10 MONTHS. (fortnite is our only way of contact).

SUDDENLY, two days ago, he was online so I got on. he joined my party and we awkwardly said hello. at this point I didn’t really have a crush on him anymore (AT LEAST THAT’S WHAT I THOUGHT). we still joked and laughed but it was mostly just awkward silence. then he left with no explanation but later chatted me that his switch died. yesterday, he joined my party again and we said hello to each other. he says (oddly playfully) “whatcha doing?” I was confused so I just said “uhh, writing a book, as you can tell.” he laughed and I was like kekd’fjdopwwpsjddm. (The rest was just awkward silence but I did hear him talking to his mom because he had to get off).

NOW I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM AND I MOSTLY JUST WANT TO BECOME GOOD FRIENDS AGAIN AND IF I CAN GET HIM TO LIKE ME BACK THAT’S A BONUS.

(I do know for a fact he’s a teen like me because ive heard him talkin to his parents in the background,)

any like…advice or maybe just tell me if I was being delusional this whole time or not?

so this is sorta like a rant I suppose.

anyways, as the titles suggests, I believe I may be developing a crush. this potential crush is on my… acquaintance-friend? whatever is in between those two. basically, I’ve known who he was for a while (my friends knew him) but we never spoke, then around 2 weeks ago, we met for the first time.

he’s a bit shy and sort of awkward, and so am I. we’ve seen each other around 3 times (for long periods of time and always with friends) and we seem to share a few interests. he’s nice to me and friendly. I hope I seem nice back lol.

btw, he’s quite an attractive boy, but I don‘t really care that much about that.

(plus, we’ve had some small friendly moments with each other. for example, playing with wooden rubber band guns in a souvenir store and pretending to shoot each other even though we had no ‘ammo’.)

one last thing, he’s like 2-3 years older than me (I don’t know his exact age). I’ve always been very mature for my age so people tend to mistake my age A LOT. 2-3 years isn’t technically a large age gap but when your teenagers it sounds bad.

so yeah, if anyone has anything to say that would be happy to read any random shit lol.
