HoMM The Role Playing Game

I just received the Heroes of Might and Magic role-playing game books, and I already have a ton of questions. Is there a specific subreddit or forum to discuss the rules?

I'm a high school physics teacher, and I took one of my classes to the movies to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

For many of them, it was their first Spider-Man movie, and they left with tears in their eyes, asking me where they could see more. I replied: I'll make you a list of movies, but remember, I'm here to teach you some physics!

Solo games. What do you think of them?

And i'm not talking about solo modes for multiplayer games, but about games designed to play solo, just you and the game.

I'm new to this hobby, at least at owning my own games (played for decades with my friend's games), and i mostly play my games solo, but i always try to play them with my friends, and those are the games i enjoyed the most.

So i bought this new solo game, Control-Z (only published in Argentina for now), and played a couple of games and it's really good. But knowing that i cannot share this enjoyment with my friends kind of put it in the second of third row of my preferences.

So, what do you think of solo games?

When your 6 and 3 yo nephews comes to visit you and you're in the middle of a Zombicide game...

What do you do in this cases? I just take a deep breath and look to the other side while they had fun killing zombies. They never broke or lose anything, fortunately.

How do you handle shipments in crowdfundings?

This is especially for those who don't come from Europe or the USA, and who, like me, are in the other half of the world.

I understand that each creator has their own way of distributing their games, but while I generally pay around 50-60% of the game's value for shipping, I've paid much less than that, around 30% in at least two cases. However, a few days ago they tried to charge me $150 for a $64 game! And that was just the expansion. The reward I was looking for was $110 (original game plus expansion), how much were they going to charge me for that? $300??? And don't even get me started on the number of creators who simply say "we don't ship to South America."

In some cases, I'm not too worried because I can later find those games on Amazon for the same price and with free shipping, but many of those games never reach retail, or if they do, it's only the base game, which in many cases feels like an "incomplete game" to me. I'm not talking about miniatures, playmats, acrylic tokens, or anything like that. I'm referring to playable expansions that actually extend the life of the game (the one I have in mind right now is Worms: The Board Game, where the base game only comes with 4 terrain tiles and is for 4 players, while the CF version came with 10 more terrain tiles and was for 6 players).

So, in these situations, what do you guys do? Do you just say "okay, this game isn't for me" and move on with your lives, or do you, like me, create a post on Reddit to vent your frustration?

MEGA: Rise of the Titans, by Salvador Sanz, now on Kickstarter

For those who asked me about Argentine authors published in English, this new Kickstarter brings one of the best works by the best comic book artist of the moment: Salvador Sanz.

I owe you a post with better images of his work, but you can see this one I made several years ago with the covers of some of his works.

Some pictures of me and my friends (or just me) playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Do you played it? What's your opinion of the game? Right now it's my favorite game to play, but because of the setup time and the duration of each mission (2 or 3 hs) we usually play other things. I even bought Zombicide on order to play something "similar" but faster.

Scott Pilgrim. Which edition should I buy?

Which one do you think has better quality? "Scott Pilgrim Precious Little Slipcase Collection" or "Scott Pilgrim Color Collection Slipcase Set"? I don't mind if it's in black and white or color, I have no preference in that regard.

Thanks in advance.
