Dektol and Fixer powder expired in 2006. What may the result be if used?

After years of poking around online for an unreasonably cheap enlarger, I got the deal of a lifetime!!! $50 for basically an entire darkroom setup and an Omega enlarger. What a dream!

Anyways, going through all the stuff that was purchased, 2 unopened packages of Dektol and Fixer, I laughed so hard seeing the expiration in 2006!!

Obviously I am going to buy new chemical concentrates, but I just wonder if the expiration doesn’t make a difference, and if it does, what will be the outcome? Will it simply not work?

Thanks.

Hosting a large Christmas in July party next weekend, looking for last minute creativity!

This will be the 3rd large party I’ve thrown, this being the first themed party. I’m expecting about 55 guests and I’m trying to keep people outside.

I want to really utilize the indoor “gazebo” as much as possible. I plan to remove the treasure chest (it was here when we moved in lol) and use this area for the food table. I’m hanging our stockings from the faux fireplace, putting up Christmas lights and maybe even my Christmas tree. I have a Christmas table cloth and serving ware. Gonna be decked out in there and on the concrete areas. I had to let my neighbors know about the plan and to please understand that I am actually of sound mind and body when they see me putting up Christmas lights this week lol!

Anyways. These are my questions.

1.) a few people have asked if there will be a white elephant. I feel like that’s a lot to ask of guests, especially so last minute. Is there a festive activity I can put on in lieu of this?

2.) I have no backyard games, such a cornhole board. I can ask if someone can bring it, but is there a comparable game that may be more unique or tailored for the event?

3.) Keeping guests outside. As of today, it’s expected to be high of 83/low of 64. Perfect for an outside party and nighttime bonfire! But is there a way to convey “stay out of the house unless you need the bathroom”? lol. Of course I will change this is rain is predicted, but hopefully not…

4.) Any other decorating, festive, unexpected, or “tried and true” things I can implement to really take it to the next level?

Thank you! 😊

Identification of team sweatshirt

EDIT: Solved, thank you! University of Miami, Coral Gables. You guys are the best.

So this is a long shot, but this is my stepdad John and I circa 1999 or 2000. He passed away in 2001, he was a great guy. We all lived in Cleveland so I don’t know why he loved this sweatshirt with a Florida team so much, but he wore it all the time. When he died I kept it close until my mom felt it was time to donate his clothes.

I’m hoping to find a replica online but I have no idea what team this is! The best I can make out is that it might be Naples? Something “ES, FL”.

Thank you! 😊

Can you still visit the police stables?

My dad used to take me on his weekends with me all through the 90s and early 2000s. I moved away for a decade and came back with a kid of my own, and I’ve tried calling and leaving messages there with no reply. I even dropped by once and the door was locked, no answer when I knocked. Is it just no longer a thing to be able to visit the horses?
