I am SO excited for Werwulf but I genuinely can’t wait. Does anyone have any suggestions for media (films, yt videos, articles, etc) that might provide a better understanding or background of the mythology and history of werewolves??

I went into Nosferatu with a lot of knowledge on the original source material and I feel like it enhanced my viewing experience even more. I was thinking about doing a deep dive for this film but would be interested to know if there’s anything that people consider essential to understanding the history surrounding them that might appear in this film based on the trailer?

This is gonna sound ridiculous but I can’t stop freaking out. Was around a campfire the other night and something flew past me from behind and brushed the top of my head. I heard buzzing like a bug but it felt decently big and I’m terrified of getting rabies. I didn’t see a bat or anything that points to signs of a bat but the thing felt big? No one around me saw anything either but I’m deathly afraid and I know going to the doctor for that would seem ridiculous.

I had two people inspect my head, no visible bites or marks or anything. My head is sore but I have a sunburn on my scalp so I guess that’s why.

What should I do? Is it possible for a bat to bite while flying? Does this even seem like a bat? Should I go to the doctor? I’m so terrified of having rabies because I know if you get symptoms it’s already too late but it sounds so stupid. Helppp. i have read the FAQ.

For the last month i’ve been finding carpet beetles in my room every week or so. They’re usually in my bed or one time on an article of clothing I had on the ground. The first time, i found some larvae and completely tore my room apart cleaning every single thing i owned, washing all sheets, removing everything, putting stuff in bags, vacuuming everywhere etc. I thought that would get rid of them but they keep popping up every maybe week or so and every time i do a thorough deep clean. my room is always extremely clean. i don’t keep piles of clothes or any food item out. It’s starting to drive me crazy because i have a serious phobia of bugs especially around my bed and it makes me not want to sleep there for days after I see one. What can i do??

I burned myself on my curling wand on the top of my breast and it’s been weeks and looks so horrific still. it’s left a huge mark that looks like a hickey and i really want to get rid of it but it’s a scar at this point. It basically looks like a second nipple when i wear a bikini and I’m scared it’s gonna be there forever now. Does anyone know what I could do for specifically a curling wand burn to be less obvious? Just wanting to rant tbh. I went with my friend to go see Obsession at a 9pm screening on a Saturday. Of course it would be busy, however the entire audience were insanely disrespectful young adults. Right from the start, one guy said something out loud and got a reaction which then started a chain of everyone obnoxiously reacting to every minor aspect of the movie. Grown men were laughing at a woman in the movie taking her shirt off? and loudly reacting or laughing at every tiny thing that happened. It was genuinely 80% of the audience doing this. It’s not even a comedy. We left about half an hour in (since i’ve already seen Obsession and was just going again for fun) because it was genuinely unbearable. Why has this become acceptable behaviour? Going to the theatres is not even cheap anymore and people who actually enjoy movies would like a place where they can peacefully watch the movies they’ve been waiting to see. Bring back shame and respect. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences lately with younger audiences (taking selfies during the movie with flash on, texting obnoxiously, talking super loud or making large reactions just to make people laugh). I wouldn’t say it’s strictly an age thing because i’m only 21 and know how to behave myself in public so I really don’t know what’s causing this. sorry, there’s no point to this post, just wanting to rant and see if this only happens to me a lot or is a universal experience.

I need to get into this online course for second half of summer classes. I’m fourth on the waitlist and the class is 400 people. Chances I get in?

I have two online asynchronous courses and have to study for a test (+ discussions posts) on monday and Quercus is obviously down for me. However, neither of my profs have acknowledged this or emailed us what we can do in the meantime. Just wondering if anyone else knows what they’re doing right now cause i have no clue.

Like the title says, My boyfriend and I are both sick and I’ve been terrified lately about the Hantavirus and that I will get it and die.

I’m trying to stay off my phone but it’s impossible to avoid. I’m in Ontario and I saw somewhere on the news say two people on the cruise are back in Ontario. I just have a sore throat and stuffy nose and my boyfriend has a very low grade fever and stuffy nose as well. I couldn’t sleep at all last night because I was convinced I would die in my sleep if i did.

Covid has destroyed my mental health and spiked my OCD indefinitely. I am terrified constantly of getting multiple illnesses, cancers, etc. and this has been a nightmare for me. I don’t even want to leave the house and I’m terrified about the chance of another pandemic. The covid pandemic essentially ruined my life and i don’t even know what I would do if we had another.

Don’t even know why i’m writing this because I don’t think anything will help me but idk if someone has some knowledge i don’t? I know the news and social media fear monger but it’s hard to know what’s true and what’s not. How worried should I really be? Do I have it right now?

Here to complain again but I hate this school so much. Enrolled in an online asynchronous course for summer school as I have a job but wanted to catch up on some credits to graduate on time. I’m not living near the city and am working every week day and now my professor is saying we have mandatory tutorials in person every week worth 15% of our final grade. Sent an email but idk who else I could complain to about this?

1. I need these credits to graduate on time
2. When enrolling in the class it never said anywhere that there would be any in person or synchronous elements.
3. I can’t find any other classes that are available for this summer.

I’m just probably completely screwed but I find it so ridiculous that a school that charges $2000 for online summer courses has no regard for their students and allows professors to do whatever they want despite the course descriptions. UGHHHHH
