Looking for a good mic to record outdoor ambient sound. I’d like to capture a lot of crisp detail. Think “relaxing nature” sounds. My Zoom/Rode shotgun mic combo just ain’t cutting it.

How to tell my kid
Ive (M35) been dating this amazing woman (F30) for two years. We were very slow and intentional with introducing our young kids. But for the past year we’ve done everything together, and she has become integral to my son’s (M7) life.
She has decided we’re incompatible and wants a break. No idea for how long. Obviously I’m devastated, but now I’m faced with this challenge: how do I tell my son? How do I tell him the woman he fantasized about me marrying so her daughter could be his sister is gone? That one of his best friends is out of his life forever now?
It’s been about a month, and he asks if we’re going to their house soon and I steer the conversation away. But I think it’s time.
I’d really love some advice, thank you.
