Transition from ServiceNow to Backend developer

Hi all,

I am in a dilemma so wanted advice from you all . I am currently working in a big PBC as a ServiceNow develoepr in ITSM module for the past four years . I have two opportunities internal to my org one is to a backend develoepr working on microservice architectures on top of aws and another is as a servicenow developer in HRSD module . The backend route will be more difficult as I would have to catchup a lot and the hrsd route will be comparatively much easier . What shall I do any thoughts from you all ?

Well it finally happened !

During these uncertain times I was always cautious as to the certainity of my job and a steady paycheck so I always put in extra efforts and maintained a very strong irreplaceable kind of resource thing going on (atleast thats what it looked like) .

My manager regularly stated as how important and valuable resource I was openly and also gave me very good hikes . However suddenly I got a meeting invite and came to know that I am laid off with a decent severance but still have to work and pretend everything was okay for 3 months .

I was shocked as how can someone who was treated so well in the team be fired when there were far too many idiots in the team and also 3 months ago 25% of my team was laid of and it was communicated that we wont be affected for this year again . My manager said it came from the higher ups but my question is how will the higher ups get my name if u did not provide it.

Its been two weeks now since then and I have started preparing again for interviews . If any of you went through any similar situations some words of advice will be good as too how can I make the best out of this moment .

Need some suggestions for a UPS for my build

I recently built a gaming pc last week and am really looking for a good UPS for it , online research made me more and more confused with pure sinewave and line interactive and what not . I am just looking to get 2-3 minutes of time during sudden power outage to safely shut down my pc and for that I am not willing to pay close to 20k for the Artis ones. Can anyone help out with it, here are the specs

Ryzen 5 9600x CPU
16GB RX9070xt GPU
32GB (12*2) DDR5 RAM (ripjaws)
Gigabyte ATX B850 motherboard
7 fans in total in my cabinet from cooler master
Samsung odyssey g5 32inch monitor

To power all this my psu is 850watt gold rated from corsair
