Looking for a wireless PS5 headset under $200 with a great mic — recommendations?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a new wireless gaming headset for PS5, and I’d really appreciate some recommendations.

I previously had the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed, and they actually worked very well for me, but I had to return them. After that, I bought the Astro A50 Gen 5, but unfortunately I’ve had all kinds of problems with them specifically in PS5 party voice chat, so I’m now looking for something else.

My budget is now $200 maximum (roughly €200 for me). I live in Spain and I can only buy through Amazon because my money is currently on an Amazon gift card, so I’m limited to what is available there.

My priorities are:

  • Wireless is a must. I’m not interested in wired headsets.
  • Microphone quality is my #1 priority. I mainly use them for PS5 party chat, and I need my friends to hear me clearly and at a good volume.
  • No echo or feedback. I’ve had problems where people in the party could hear an echo or their own voice coming back through my microphone, so avoiding this is extremely important to me.
  • I’d really like good background-noise cancellation on the microphone without having to change anything. If I need to adjust settings, I don’t want it to noticeably reduce the microphone quality.
  • I have a very large head, and with most headsets I have to extend the headband all the way to the maximum, so they need to be comfortable for larger heads.
  • Good sound quality is important, but the microphone and PS5 party-chat performance matter much more to me.
  • I’m not interested in HyperX, so I’d prefer recommendations from other brands.

I’ve been looking at Turtle Beach and SteelSeries, as well as the Corsair HS80 and HS80 MAX, but I’m not sure how the Corsairs would fit me because of my large head.

I’ve also been looking at the Sony PULSE 3D Elite. I already know they are too small for my head in their standard configuration, but I’m considering removing the rubber strap/band on top so I can fit them properly. The reason I’m considering them despite the size issue is that, from what I’ve seen, they are one of the few headsets that have proper microphone background-noise cancellation directly on PS5 without having to configure anything, which is exactly what I’m looking for.

I’d really like to hear what you would recommend specifically for PS5/PS5 Pro rather than just general gaming headsets.

Sorry for asking for so many things. I’ve been looking for a headset for a long time and unfortunately I haven’t had much luck so far, so I’m trying to find something that actually works for me.

If you have personal experience with a wireless headset under $200 that has a really good mic, good background-noise rejection, no echo in PS5 party chat, and works well with a large head, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.

Thanks!

Astro A50 Gen 5 vs SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P — Is the A50 worth the extra money?

I’m trying to decide between the Astro A50 Gen 5 and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P for PS5, and I’d really appreciate some advice from people who have actually used them.

I know the A50 Gen 5 is considerably more expensive than the Nova 5P, so I’m mainly wondering if you think the extra money is actually worth paying, especially for someone who prioritizes microphone quality and PS5 party chat.

My biggest priority is microphone quality for PS5 voice chat. Can your friends hear you clearly and at a good volume while you’re playing? More importantly, have you experienced any echo or feedback where other people in the party can hear their own voice coming back through your microphone?

I’ve had problems with this with other headsets before, so avoiding echo in PS5 parties is extremely important to me.

I also have a very large head, and with most headsets I have to extend the headband all the way to its maximum, so I’d like to know how comfortable both headsets are for people with larger heads.

I was also considering the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro, but unfortunately I can only get the wired version, and I really don’t like using wired headsets, so that’s not really an option for me.

So, for those who have used the A50 Gen 5 and/or Nova 5P on PS5 or PS5 Pro: is the A50 Gen 5 worth spending the extra money on, particularly for microphone quality, party chat, avoiding echo, and comfort for a large head?

Thanks!

**Astro A50 Gen 5 on PS5 — Mic Quality, Party Chat Echo & Fit for Large Heads**

I’m considering getting the Astro A50 Gen 5 and I wanted to ask about the microphone specifically for PS5 voice chat.

For those who use them on PS5, how is the microphone quality in party chat? Can your friends hear you clearly and at a good volume while you’re playing?

Also, have you experienced any echo or feedback in PS5 parties? I’ve had issues with other headsets where people in the party could hear their own voice or an echo coming through my microphone, so this is really important to me.

I also have a very large head, so I’d like to know how comfortable they are for people with larger heads. With most headsets I’ve owned, I have to extend the headband all the way to its maximum size.

I really like the A50 Gen 5, but the microphone, voice-chat performance, and fit for larger heads are my biggest concerns. Also, does anything change when using them on a PS5 Pro compared to a regular PS5?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who actually use them on PS5 or PS5 Pro.

Thanks!

Looking for a wireless gaming headset with a great mic — $150 max

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a new wireless gaming headset for PS5 and I’d really appreciate some recommendations.

I previously had the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed, and honestly they worked very well for me, but I had to return them for unrelated reasons.

My budget is $150 maximum, and I can only buy through Amazon.

My requirements and priorities are:

  • Wireless is a must. I’m not interested in wired headsets.
  • Microphone quality is the #1 priority. I mainly use the headset for PS5 party chat, and I’ve had problems with echo and people having trouble hearing me clearly in friend groups.
  • It needs to be comfortable for a large head. I’ve had headsets that were too small or tight.
  • Ideally, I’d like the microphone to be fixed/non-detachable. I’ve had really bad experiences with detachable microphones, and pretty much every headset I’ve owned with a removable mic has given me problems.
  • Good sound quality is important, but the microphone matters much more to me.

I’m open to brands other than Razer. If anyone has personal experience with a wireless headset that has an especially good mic for PS5 party chat and works well with larger heads, I’d really appreciate the suggestions.

Thanks!

New Monitor for only PS5

Hello

I need help buying a 4K monitor for a maximum of 500 euros on Amazon, and if possible, I would like it to be IPS.

The issue I’m having is that when I enable HDR on my PS5, the monitor locks the brightness at maximum, which is uncomfortable for my eyes.

I need a monitor that has built-in HDR modes in its own menu (HDR game, HDR image, etc.), but that still allows me to adjust the brightness while using those modes, with the PS5 set to SDR and HDR disabled.

Thank you for your help.
