Got sandwiched between two cars this morning on my way to the Historic Folsom Light rail station. This bike lane just kinda ends as two car lanes come together.
As I reached it, there happened to be a car on either side of me. Luckily I was able to brake and merge left into the car lane, but I could easily have gotten hit. What's the correct course of action here? Google maps shows an invisible bike lane crossing the right lane, which is not indicated on the road at all.
I have a small dog that's very anxious around grooming. I handle most of it myself, but nail trims are a 2-person job. Before moving to Sacramento, we had a DIY grooming place where the attendants would help clip nails while I held him. He hates it but unfortunately it's necessary.
Is there anywhere in the area I could get something similar? Preferably towards Orangevale/Folsom.

I have some cuts from a tree branch that I'm hoping to make coasters/ornaments from. I'm not sure how to plane them due to their small size, around 4-6 inches diameter. Any good methods? Is a hand-plane the best way?
