How can you strictly monitor your own screentime?

Made a post earlier but haven't really gotten a proper response. I only need to use my phone for messaging apps since I do all my work on my laptop. Tried gray scale, app blockers, minimalist screen etc, nothing worked. Also tried to compensate for the time by picking up hobbies which also, proved unsuccessful. I usually bypass any blocks I make, so how do I stick to the plan? I don't really have anyone reliable to be strict towards me either so I'm lost.

How useful is NCERT for the exam?

Probably a stupid way to put it but yes, I know NCERT is the most important esp for bio, but I don't know to what extent (heard some say min 300 marks) My online coaching isn't that interactive so they rarely give strategies apart from the lectures and okayish materials. I don't think NCERT is much useful for phy as long as the concepts are clear.

Mostly confused about chemistry though. Heard its good enough for inorganic, so how good is it for organic and physical as well? My notes aren't that good to be fair, so I want to know which all parts strictly NCERT is enough.

Also are those Master the NCERT type of books reliable (like without change of wordings and all diagrams) if I find the textbook a lot more cluttered?

I hate not having a clear goal for studying and its stressing me out [DISCUSSION]

Going to be a slight rant. Currently in final year high school. I lived pretty comfortably and never really felt the burning need to study, but I still do and usually ends up top 3 or 5 in class. No ambition, nothing. Just that 'exams are nearing, so I gotta lock in'.

Chose a science + math course for HS to prepare for university entrance exams which are a rat's race here and my family wants me to try them. And since I never really had a goal, I was onboard with it, until days started ticking and I practically have only a year to prepare for it, on top of my final year exams with constant classes at school.

The entrance exams here are practically impossible because of the sheer amount of people trying them and its deterring me more and more. Then comes my classmates, who used to be behind me in studies, suddenly acing exams. The entrance exam isn't what I wanted but here, all other options are a hit or miss so its regarded as the 'safe option'. I really want to know if I can finally get the motivation to prepare for it.

Studying is all I've ever done and for it to be out of my grasps is a horrible feeling. I have no problems trying to ace the final year exams but when its the entrance exam, I just stop studying. Topping these finals don't contribute anything to university apart from signing up for normal degree programs. So I'm kind of in a dilemma. My family is pretty chill regarding studies and wouldn't really mind if I chose a different career path after trying the entrance exam out so the lack of pressure is another thing. Would like it if anyone could advice me on this though.

What are the subject-specific strategies that worked for you during boards preparation?

12th PCMBE student here. Really stressed at the moment with back to back entrance coaching and school exams. Could anyone give proper strategies to attain good marks without fussing over it last minute? As in what resources we NEED for each subject, and how to best preparation, imp topics etc.

(Would prefer if responses are in English)

Quite picky but I'm looking for comedy recs based on what I like/dislike

Made a similar post earlier but decided to make a better one. I read almost every genre but I love comedy more than anything. I'm not really fond of harem/ecchi/isekai with a repeated plot.

Stuff I liked:

  • Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun
  • Sakamoto desu ga?
  • Gokushufudou
  • Angel denetsu
  • Ki sisters
  • Love advice from the great duke of hell

I didn't like:

  • Gintama
  • Saiki K
  • Wotakoi
  • Kaguya-sama Love Is War
  • Nichijou
  • Grand Blue
  • Greatest Estate Developer

I can't figure out what my sense of humor is like so pardon me if I seem really weird lol. Have been kind of desperate for new reads after re-reading most of the ones I liked.

Could anyone give me good comedy recs?

I don't mind the other genres as long as there is enough comedy. Not really a fan of those ecchi, harem manga tbh and somehow couldn't really get to like popular mangas like Nichijou, Gintama, Grand Blue. I don't like very stereotypical rom-coms either.

Some I liked: Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun, Gokushufudou, Sakamoto desu ga?, Angel Denetsu, Love Advice from the Great duke of hell (webtoon)

Some questions regarding preparation strategy and question banks (CBSE PCMB + English)

Apart for NCERT+PYQ, which all subjects I should use NCERT exemplar? I am hearing multiple opinions from people so kinda lost at the moment.

Is the question bank given for English by CBSE itself worth practicing? Its all a lot complicated than what I see on PYQ.

Also looking to buy a question bank for subjects, so I wanna know the best one without much errors. I do want to get a good score without focusing much time on a lot of different resources since entrance coaching is also there.

What are some tips to study through exhaustion?

Lots of things to do, lectures to watch etc and time is ticking. I literally can't sit down to study, and its been the same for the last 2 weeks or so. My desk is clean, and everything else is in order but I end up procrastinating because of exhaustion. I have school from 9am till 5pm and I come home sleepy. I tried to study less heavy subjects during this period but it rarely works. What should I do?

Seeing little to no progress in reducing screentime

Don't know if this is the right subreddit for this but I deleted my instagram account on my Android phone a month ago. I felt relieved for a while but then I switched over to YT shorts. I enabled a Shorts blocker and it works to an extent. But still, there is no decrease in my screentime whatsover. I tried greyscale, app blockers... nothing really works. Spotify and youtube are the most distracting of the bunch. Essentially, I only need Whatsapp (for school groups), Gmail, Docs, Sheets and a browser. I do all my work on my laptop so I don't think I need to spend more than 30 minutes on this phone. How do I make sure I only use these apps?

Could anyone guide me through which study materials I actually need to use?

I go to a coaching which is the best in my state. They provided only few QB (Maybe 200 in total per chapter) and Resonance DLP books, but their video lectures are good enough. Its mostly physics (and a bit of chemistry) that I need help in so is there any all in one sort of book that provides both solid theory and good questions? I did get ahold of a few books but I'm not exactly sure which is the best. (Also, I don't speak Hindi so I don't know if this is the right flair)
