Best way to promote to Facebook groups while adhering to rules?

Hey friends. My app is pretty niche and there are FB groups with thousands of people who’d be interested in the app. A few group admins and I have started a relationship and I can occasionally post. But the vast majority as we all know do not allow promotional posts.

With that said, has anyone nailed a good strategy where they follow the group rules but still find a way to get their app out there?

Managing perimenopause symptoms

I’m 43 and starting to feel the onset of peri. I’m not on HRT yet but my sister who is older started, and some friends, and I know I’ll eventually get there.

For those in perimenopause or menopause, is there any value in starting to track how I’m feeling right now sort of like to build a baseline and overtime to document how things evolve? I’m thinking this could be useful to bring to a doctor at some point.

Lichen Sclerosus - app update with doctor directory and more

Hi all.

For those that saw previous posts, the LS Companion lichen sclerosus tracking app has some new features (available on the App Store).

I’ve added a doctor directory to help us look for specialists in our areas, with imported records from sites like BSSVD in the UK, etc.

The nice part is, members can add notes about the doctor to share your experience.

Another new feature is Community questions. It’s a way to ask and answer common LS questions anonymously and see how the majority of members answered - eg. Has estrogen cream been helpful to you?

As always, the app’s core features remain free to use with some pro features for added insights.

If you have feedback please reach out.

Seeking feedback for anyone who tried LS companion

Hi all. I’ve posted a few times to tell you about the app I built for logging and tracking LS symptoms and triggers, and to seek beta testers early on.

Now I’m wondering if anyone who tried LS Companion would be interested in a quick 15 min chat to talk about how it has been helpful or not, and whether you’d like to see anything new in the app.

Feel free to dm if you’re open to chatting.

Thanks,

Mona

Your HSA account and apps?

Wondering if anyone here has been able to successfully claim the expenses of a health or fitness app from their company HSA? Is this a thing?

Free app to help us with LS tracking

Hi everyone.

After being diagnosed last year while pregnant with my second, and with my background in IT, I recently launched an app to help manage my LS day to day.

LS Companion can track symptoms, triggers, self-checks and treatment, and overtime it tries to spot patterns from your logs. It can also help you prepare for your medical appointments.

It’s free and there is an optional pro version if you want AI insights.

It’s private and login is optional.

If you’ve been using it or have any feedback, I’d honestly really appreciate hearing how it could be improved. Thanks in advance.

When did you build the Android version?

Indie dev here and recently build my first two iOS apps. The first one was a bust but second caters to a niche market and seems like I might need to build Android. I’d say my target users are women b/w 20-50 years old, so I haven’t yet done the research on the spread but I’m guessing it’s maybe 60/40 for iOS.

When did you decide to dedicate your precious time to building Android vs pushing hard on marketing to whomever has iOS? I’m only a week in, so I’m not sure if it’s premature.

Lichen Sclerosus app now live!

You might have seen an earlier post about the new LS Companion app (when I was looking for beta testers).

It is now live on the App Store, so you can officially start using it to track your lichen sclerosus symptoms, triggers, treatment. The idea is that overtime, the app will help identify patterns in your condition.

You can download it here: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/ls-companion/id6760978566

The app is free to use (daily logging, basic insights and reminders for treatments). There is a Pro version for AI insights. I was planning to look for an organization to donate % of proceeds to for LS research. If anyone has ideas, please lmk.

PS - for those with Android phones, please register your email here if you'd like to be notified when Android is ready - https://www.lscompanion.com/.

I noticed that for some reason, the price of my subscription wasn’t displaying in my paywall after finally getting my app approved (no clue why as it worked no problem in TestFlight and Xcode).

Anyway, I removed app for sale from Pricing and Availability and I can see it is now hidden from App Store. However, does anyone know how I can get it back for Sale? I’m not seeing the option in that section!

Edit: 12 hours later my product appeared in the app. I guess it can take a while to propagate.
