I planted some elephant garlic last fall and let two of them flower out of curiosity. Any good uses for the flowers themselves? Everything I’ve seen online is about how to use the scapes, but I’m trying to see if I should cook with the flowers, baggie them and save them as seeds (if that’s a thing), or just toss them in the compost. I got a block of oyster at a farmers market and tried my best to make the conditions on the label, but I think my garage got too hot this weekend. Are these still safe to eat? Did I harvest too late? m trying to hang a guitar on this 32” wall behind my bathroom, and using a magnet for a stud finder it stuck right in the middle of the wall. I thought this made sense and was normal but I’ve drilled 3 small holes at different heights and stopped short because I thought I was hitting metal. I cut a little hole and there is metal! Does anyone know why there would be a metal strip running completely vertical? I’ve encountered electrical or plumbing cover things, but those are usually just a few inches, right? Thanks for any help/ advice!

My veggies are all fine so far, seems to just be eating the bird seed that falls from the feeder. I don’t want to try to evict them but I’m worried my wife will freak out if she discovers it. Any advice? Oh and the rubber snakes are to keep the squirrels away but I don’t think anyone is buying that they’re real

Hope this is the right place but I’ve been having trouble for months with my new shower. I noticed the leak and bought a grout saw and removed as much as I could, then put in new grout and grout sealer. I’ve been told a dozen times that grout is permeable so I’m not exactly sure what the sealer is for to be honest. Leak seemed to stop for a while and then started again. This time I tried re caulking where the glass walls meet the tile walls. That didn’t seem to help much because I soon noticed the leak again.
It appears as a slow dripping out the corner where the grout has turned orangish on the outside. I cut up the drywall where it was molding to get a look but met some studs… so I’m at a bit of a loss on what to do next.
Also there’s a little hole through the drywall that I have no idea where it came from, but it became visible once I cut the little square out.
