Advice

Im a white American. I want to write a series of fiction books for younger readers about Kaiju. Is it wrong for me to use the word "Kaiju" in the title or even just in the book in general?

Honestly asking. Is it cultural appropriation? I feel the term is so mainstream now that it should be okay? I see it everywhere: Pacific Rim, a new anthology book called The Big Bad Book of Kaiju (full of non Japanese big name authors).

I want honest opinions though. Sure I could make up a term for the giant monsters in my books but I wanted people going into the books with the right vibes, for them to know what kind of giant monsters and the type of fun the books would bring. I want it to be big rubber suit fun like the movies I grew up with, you know?

So, again give me your thoughts and opinions please!
