One piece Driveshaft

I have a dilemma between replacing the worn midshaft bearing or just installing a one piece. What is everyone's experience with one piece driveshafts? Would you recommend it or is it worth replacing the carrier bearing? Seems like between the cost versus labor and completely removing the extra parts. It would be a great alternative.

Reliability

Im on this journey for a newer SUV for my Mom. We immediately went back to Ford as our family are Ford people. What I've found is the newer Explorer is a complete disaster. Is this the case with everyone else. The two 2025 models that my Mom has fallen in love with are Buybacks. What is this? Then when I look up the issues and do a quick deep dive it's a HUGE issue with powertrain and safety items. What has happened? Please tell me there is some light at the end of this tunnel or do I really have to change brands? Oh and the Edge basic transmission has a class action lawsuit and that's how we ended up with the Explorer. Oh i'm actually worried. If Ford falling apart at the seems?

2.0L Eco 21 and up Edge

How much better or worse are the 2.0L in the Edge specifically? I'm looking to put my Mom in an Edge and am debating on a nice Platinum/ST line or an ST for the better 2.7L. Is the 2.0L reliable after 2021? I would like to put her in a 2.7L for the reliability but is the 2.0L just as reliable after 21?
