Happy Cake Day to Me
Today is my cake day. Just noticed it while I was posting on some threads, then looked at a reply and saw the cake. Happy cake day to me.

I recently graduated with a master's in food science and human nutrition. I spent 8 years as a dietitian. I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2011, so I must follow a gluten-free diet. I love King Arthur Gluten-Free Products. Does King Arthur Baking Company have opportunities for gluten-free careers? Thank you. Edit: I have checked the website and did not find anything.
Listening to MSNOW and Alex Witt is back this Saturday. I have enjoyed the people filling in, but it's great to have her back.
Hi,
I recently graduated with my master's in food science. I know this sub is gluten-free related. I was diagnosed with celiac disease and also spent 8 years as a registered dietitian and got burned out- long story. I am curious if there is anyone on this sub who works in gluten-free regulatory affairs/quality control/research and development and would be willing to share. I did post on the food science subreddit. Again, I know this sub is about gluten-free. Mods, please don't delete. Just trying to find a job. Thought maybe people here might work in gluten-free regulatory and science jobs. Thank you.
Hi,
I recently graduated from an online master's in food science and human nutrition, completed online. Background: I went to school to be a dietitian, did that for 8 years, and got burned out due to COVID and my previous job situation. In 2011, I was diagnosed with celiac disease. Quite a learning curve of how to eat gluten-free, and I love to bake at home; I am not a professional baker. It has been a huge learning curve with gluten-free baking. It is not like wheat-based baking at all.
Long-term goal would be R&D for a gluten-free food company like Bob's Red Mill or King Arthur, or a company that develops gluten-free products. Looking through posts on this sub, QA jobs seem to be good ways to get your foot in the door. Any other suggestions for entering the food science field? Anyone else working in the field of food science with dietary restrictions?
Willing to relocate. I am on LinkedIn and have it open to recruiters for quality assurance/control jobs. Thank you.
Today, at 4 PM ET, Chris Jansing anchored an hour-long newscast from Bangor, ME, to cover the Maine Democratic Senate Primary. It was nice to have her back in the anchor chair, even just temporarily. I listened to it on TuneIn.com.

Hi fellow NPR fans and listeners. Does anyone know if Giles Snyder still works for NPR? I have not heard him in several months on weekend mornings. He has been a part of weekend mornings, newscasts for many years. I don't have facebook, X, instagram, so not sure if he posted on those sites. Hope he is okay. Windsor Johnston now covers weekend morning 5 AM to 10 AM ET hourly newscasts.
