Hi everyone! I’m a current law student with celiac and I am running very low on groceries. My spouse works but doesn’t really make enough to cover anything other than our rent and utilities and gas to get him to and from work. We got denied for SNAP also. I legally cannot work right now or I’ll get kicked out of school or I would be working part time.

All of that to say, does anyone have any recommendations for food pantries that might have options for food allergies, specifically celiac safe?

I fell into a friend group of around 10 girls. We all sort of migrated together and bonded over all sorts of random stuff. Everything was going well. There were pockets of some of us that were closer, but mostly it was a big group with a group chat we all talked in.

Yesterday I missed class because I had an oncology appointment and got diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that’s classified as a chronic blood cancer. I texted two of the girls separately to tell them because I felt closer to them. One of the girls FREAKED out on me, saying basically how dare I call my diagnosis cancer because she has family members with real blood cancer that are fighting for their lives everyday. I just replied and said I’m sorry and got no further responses from anyone, and nobody in the group chat texted me to see why I was missing from school or to check on me. Okay, fine, whatever.

Well yesterday evening I got a huge paragraph from one of the girls, privately, basically saying I’m too negative and they would all prefer that I not be in the group or hang out with them anymore. That was the response to me getting a life changing diagnosis.

I’m 28 years old. I’ve lived so many lives before I got here but it still ruined my night. Now I’m at school, ostracized already, and wondering if I made a mistake thinking I could do this. Bullying in law school is so real and I feel so stupid for thinking it wouldn’t happen to me. Luckily I have lifelong friends that aren’t in law school that I can vent to, as well as my husband, but god it sucks ass.

Not sure why I’m even posting this. I guess just be careful with who you open up to?

Edit: wow everyone. I didn’t expect this to blow up like it did. Thank you for all of the comments and messages of support - I truly appreciate it. I also wanted to come on here and say that I’ve spoken with my husband in depth about the situation and he didn’t like me around them. He said they were mean and negative, and that’s just not who I am but I would be to fit in with them.

So this was 100% for the best. They were constantly talking shit about other people at school, most that they’ve never interacted with, and it really took me not interacting with them anymore to see that. I truly think that they didn’t like me and saw my diagnosis as an out, since I hadn’t even spoken to the group over the weekend before they kicked me out. Either way, I’m feeling content now and I’m excited for the rest of my time at school. I’m focusing on my studies, my health, and my husband.

I was taken via EMS to the hospital last week for severe diarrhea with blood and vomiting. In the ambulance the EMT tried to place an IV but after not eating or drinking for almost 5 days, my veins were nowhere to be found. They tried and were unsuccessful, but it left a huge red spot that looked sort of like a hive at first, but now it looks like a blister. I’ve never had this happen, so I’m unsure if I need to get it looked at or if I just need to wait for it to go away on its own.

I searched the sub and all posts re: medicaid are about eye doctors or obgyn’s. I just moved here and got Medicaid before I start school in August and I need to find a provider to transfer my prescriptions from Virginia to North Carolina. I am currently unable to get my medications because my provider is in Virginia, so I would need to be able to get in relatively soon. Any advice is appreciated!

I just moved here for law school and I am craving a good multi tiered cake slice but the problem is I have celiac. I’ve visited Dolce & Amaro but they didn’t have any cake. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go? I don’t want to special order something, I want to be able to walk in, order, and take it home with me.

A few years ago I read a book on Wattpad about a dd/lg relationship where the guy and girl were on a roadtrip somewhere and they stopped to get lunch. He asked if she had to pee and she said no and refused to try even after he asked her multiple times. They get back in the car and later on she asks him to stop so she can pee and he refuses. She ends up peeing herself in the car and he degrades her and talks about how it’s normal for little girls to have accidents and wouldn’t let her change her clothes until they got to their destination.

Are there any other books with similar vibes? I looked through the sub but don’t see any that quite fit what I’m looking for.

I (27 f) work as a paralegal at a law firm where I’ve been for 2.5 years. I’ve grown pretty close to my coworkers and I’m leaving my job next week to move to a new state to start law school.

Today everyone was in my office talking about something, and I mentioned that I had glow in the dark stars on my ceiling and I use zoo pals plates, among other things. It kind of escalated from there and everyone started saying I need to grow up and that I’m going to law school and it’s not appropriate to be so childish. One coworker also made a comment about how I “make her think” about my husband which I really don’t like. It sounded like she was implying he’s a…you know.

I’m leaving next week but it still hurt :( just needed to vent a little.

Okay so I follow this account on TikTok that has these scenarios where you pick different things on each slide, but it’s a series. The one I’m most obsessed with is a younger girl and an older man who lived in her neighborhood. She will put on a cute little outfit and then go to his house to hang out because her parents suck or whatever. He’s grumpy and rugged but definitely likes her.

ANYWAY, are there books that kind of fit that vibe? Like dive bars, cigarettes, older pickup truck, diner vibes? I need the man to be a lot older but the girl needs to be over 18, but naive for some reason. I know this is very specific so I don’t think there will be a lot of recs but I will take anything.

My only no’s are breeding, monsters (vampires are okay) scat, and I would prefer a HEA - literally everything else is fine.
