Z3 54s Spring

Z3 54s Spring

I found this spring in my driveway.

Mower is functioning as it should (as far as I know — I’m new to zero turns) Any idea where or what this might belong to?

Expectations and Norms

I’m trying to figure out what the norms and expectations are regarding contractor services.

I’ve been bumping into issues that I feel I shouldn’t have to. I don’t want to approach this from the all contractor are shitty but I do understand that not all contractors are good ones.

Is it reasonable to expect invoices / scopes of work before or the very least after the fact?

I had some work done (toilet install / clean out install) and they for some reason will send an invoice. They also failed to caulk around the toilet and properly seal the clean out — I had to add plumbers tape to the cap as it had a small/slow leak. This is a licensed /bonded plumber.

If services rendered do not address the issue am I expected to pay again to get an actual fix?

I had an HVAC person come out they did a walk through took pictures/measurements. They said the system was fine but that I needed to switch from the high MERV filter I had to an 8. I’m not an HVAC person obviously so I said ok. I’ve since switched the proper MERV rating they suggested but the ac is still blowing hot/warm.

They now want to send someone else out to do diagnostics at the rate of $150 per hour. They’re recommending to increase the size of the filter intake. I already paid about $300 for the consultation.

If they mess something up am I required to pay labor/parts? I know it’s not “free” for them but am I on the hook for their errors customarily?

I had the water system people come by about 3 weeks ago to switch out some filters/uv bulb and things were okay. I’m not in the basement often and so I went down a few days later and noticed a small leak. I called them out and they sent someone. Apparently the first tech had damaged a seal/gasket which lead to the leak. They supplied the parts for free but sent me a bill for the labor.

Am I losing my mind? Or am I right to complain?

Water softener system

I have a small leak from my water softener. I’m new to this system so just need some guidance. From what I found there’s a bypass shutoff valve but I don’t know which valve it is. Any guidance would be appreciated

Ribeye strip 10.99/lb

Scored these bad boys yesterday at Stew Leonard’s. I’ve been buying larger cuts from there for about 2 years now and it’s almost every other week they have great deals on some very good quality meats.
