im a producer looking for a vocalist/singer for an EP im working on!

every once in a while you come across these incredibly talented artists that only ever released one album and you begin to wonder what may have happened in their lives for them to only ever make this one album/project.

you especially see this in genres like trip hop, ambient, downtempo and stuff (even more often in everything and anything "indie").

what are your thoughts on this?

as far as i know, only one album was ever made under that alias, it's called "bloom" (1997) with a singer named bronagh slevin. it's massively underrated, production-wise aswell as lyrically. (edit: crustation* [typo lol])

another recommendation is "mr. soon - places in arizona"

i'm looking for a label to release music on/with. can anyone point me in the right direction, or possibly even to a r/, where it's most likely to get in contact with (indie) label owners? (that are mabye even into physical releases like cassettes and such).
