Finally ordered a Buchla. Haven’t heard of this model though, do you know if it does MIDI?
Mac M4 Pro front USB ports won't charge anything?
Wondering if anyone has any insight on this?
They work reliably and expectedly connected to my portable SSD drive. But charging an iphone, or even my Mac mouse, just does not happen (does not help that the mouse doesn't have a light to indicate charging).
Fuel plan for my metric quarter century ride. Any tips?
is this enough fuel for my 13.25 mi overnighter?
no im not bringing a stove
Cracked my alloy Cowchipper bars. Recommendations?
I could not find a single person online who has broken a non-carbon bar but here I am. These have ~3700 miles on them. I really like the shape of the cowchipper more than other gravel bars i've used so I'm considering the carbon version (they had a recall on carbon bars last year so I'm just going to assume they have improved them)
I bike commute with this, loaded with heavy camera gear on the back, and also occasionally bikepack. I imagine the weight of the bike puts a good amount of strain on this part of the bar - but FFS I know people bikepack with these bars without breaking them. Do you think carbon bars would be more or less sturdy for this purpose?
insane that this works
noname iphone fisheye lens. it’s probably not great for it, but it threads onto the body of the lens and is stupidly fun. Just have to remember to unscrew it before powering off.
can you recommend a rack meant to support a reasonable amount of weight?
He said I’m the only boy he’s ever seen pull it off
Tips for scanning extra grainy negatives
Wondering if this is normal or a better image can be achieved. I have a lot of experience shooting & scanning 'nice' film, mostly Portra. This is less nice Kodak Max 800 that probably expired in 2000 or before. I exposed it at 200 after a couple thin rolls, and the negatives look decent, although less translucent than usual. Wondering if this amount of visible, vibrant grain is just normal in very expired film or if there's a way of scanning that picks up less of it. I am camera scanning with a CS-lite, Lightroom & NLP.
