What’s the Point of Having Overdraft Protection and Debit Card Coverage Turned Off?
what’s the point of having over draft protection turned off and debit card coverage also turned off if Chase will still use their discretion to overdraw your account on an unauthorized cancelled service. aren’t those two features setup up to let them know not to pay out transactions that can overdraw one’s account? its not a good look for the account and they are breaking their own terms where it states that they will only pay out orders upto 50$ so why if both of those features are turned off did they still do that?
I called them to push back and they said go to a branch and then I reach out to a branch and they say the only way to clear it from account is to bring balance positive to that account or file a claim against vendor. what ever happened to clearing it and not fulfilling the request for the transaction. and they also posted it. now this may affect future credit inquiries by them using their discretion to overdraw my account without my consent. anyone else experience this and how was it solved?
