Looking for where to find surf information here. I’m looking to find info on winter surfing here, how busy spots are, and if it is even possible to surf in the wintertime.

Especially interested in how strong the currents are in college cove and moonstone.

Beautiful area, beautiful beaches. Would love any sort of insight from anyone who paddles out there.

Aside from it being cold and remote.

Curious if you get sucked out to sea here if you should just call it quits and accept the sweet release of death.

I want there a few years ago and it was the most chill experience. Just a guy and his wife working in the shop. Gave him the keys and he said come back in two hours with the cash. Super easy.

The bookstore that burned down always had nice magazines. VICE mags, surfing mags, and also small indie print magazines of literature, art and all different articles.

Hello! A year or two ago I was watching a lot of “over the air television”. I watched a documentary on the county about a great flood that happened. There was footage and pictures and interviews from survivors, who were now quite elderly.

It was fascinating. I’ve never heard anything about it before. And I yearn to watch it again! Does anyone know where I can find it??

What struck me was the ending where they did a in memoriam for all those who died in rescue helicopters.

Any insight would be appreciated. I’d love to watch, and if it’s not already, preserve it. Thanks!!

What lovely twin cities do we have here in Arcata/Eureka! I’m curious, what bars have the best bike parking.

As the end of summer is drawing near, it’s nice to get out as much as possible in the sunshine before the rainy season starts.

Ideal bike parking would include, well lit/visible areas, plenty of foot traffic, and not be in the way of someone walking by.

Bike parking doesn’t always have to be designed to be so. Sometimes it’s just a fence or street sign that’s out of the way of traffic.

We have so many regulars I’ve been playing with for almost three years now. For such an old game it’s remarkable.

It’s the last shooter game to have that “old school” feel. It has great sound design. Not as good as bf3 but pretty damn decent.

The game feels nicely balanced, and I actually have to put in effort to unlock cosmetics and the weapons I want.

This is the only video game I play. Everything else is just ehh to me. Old enough to have last gen time gunplay, new enough to have a bit of polish.
