…if so snd so still listens? The guy who won the not so superbowl? the guy who won the lawrence welk magazine? the random woman who did an adam and eve commercial and played one true three? the guys who complained early on about q being on mic?
i’m on episode 32 and they are talking about making a bed bugs horror movie with a giant bug. it makes me wonder what ideas walt would hear today and regret not doing (or would he regret nothing)?
I’ve got $350-$400 for my first drone. i’d like the beginner features like return to home/palm and following. would it be better to get a new one (mini 4k or neo 2) or wait too find a good used option.
i would normally go good used, but i’ve read some things like older versions can’t fly in certain places and for my budget i feel like i might not have enough for a used/higher quality.
what should i be looking for?
It’s a fun show, you should check out if you want to groove a little with lunch.
Freshly restored (3 rounds, avocado oil). my cheesy scrambled eggs stuck a little this morning but the pan is pretty heavy so maybe i didn’t heat it up properly compared to the unmarked wagner i used to use for breakfast. i really love it though, i like the idea of a proud union company back in the late 30’s.
i read on one website that the history is lacking for this pan but it appears the crescent foundry co went out of business in 1937 and another, unnamed company took over the lease for the building, removed the crescent foundry co from the logo and continued producing pans. so i’m not really sure who made it.
I just had an anniversary at work and they allow us to choose gifts, but I don’t really like any of the options. If I choose an X Box, which is fulfilled through Best Buy, could I return that unopened for store credit?
edit to add: i don’t work for Best Buy, but the gift in question will be fulfilled through Best Buy.
I just took this out of the lye bath, scrubbed with bar keepers friend and i know there’s rust to deal with. But does this need more lye time or more scrubbing or is it just rust left behind?
I’ve only restored a handful of skillets but the little ones seem to be almost silver when they come out and get a couple scrubs. Is that almost bare silvery finish (the last photo) always under there if i scrub enough?
I keep telling myself i’m not buying any more cast iron from the goodwill bins, but apparently I can’t help myself. Today I found one i’ve never heard of before and I love it. Theres no more room in my lye bath, however, so this one won’t get cooked on for a while. Who else has an Ozark?
I restored this vintage pan about a year ago. i cook my husbands breakfast in it most days. There was a point in time where it was starting to have a glossy finish, but then it took a turn and now it always looks dull.
when i’m done cooking, i wipe with paper towels, fill it up with hot water, dump it out, add a little soap scrub with chain mail if there are chunks, then finish with a scrub daddy and rinse. wipe dry.
is this dull finish part of the life cycle of a pans seasoning or is something wrong?
I’m working from home today and want to get a roast in the oven before i start work in an hour. problem is it’s straight out of the fridge. can i pop it in the microwave at 10-20% power to try and bring it to room temp or is that too risky? better to just start it cold? if it matters i’ll be searing it in cast iron then popping the pan into the oven.
edit: i’m heating up my pan now, it’s going in cold! thanks
