I'm freakin out and have been up since 5 a.m.🥲
I'm gon try to keep this short cause I can't sleep. In 2018, I saw one of the Hotel Transylvania Movies, (I don't recall which one though), being that I lived with a family member at the time who had kids (my little cousins) that loved it. They watched it quite a few times. It was mostly background noise for me cause I wasn't interested in it cause it's mostly for kids, therefore I don't know a whole lot about the plot or storyline or characters backstories. However, there's this specific scene that I remember in detail (for the most part) where they all (the family, main characters) were dancing (i couldn't tell you where they're located though) and the song playing in the background is a R&B song from the 80s called "Happy" by a group called Surface (heres a link: https://youtu.be/Y4S3V-hrFEc?is=6jKsgKl07vftKbw4).
I also need to mention: THIS movie and THAT SPECIFIC SCENE was how I was introduced to THIS SPECIFIC SONG. I have an ear for old-school R&B, so immediately I looked the song up on YouTube and loved it ever since and that was really the only scene in the movie where I would briefly stop whatever im doin and watch for a few seconds, haha. This detail is important cause I DIDN'T know this song prior to watching this movie, even though I grew up listening to alot of music from that era thanks to my parents (thats why I have an ear for that typa sound and can instantly identify songs from that era most of the time). I usually ALWAYS REMEMBER when, where, or how I FIRST heard or how I was FIRST introduced to a song.
More scene details: I vividly recall The Dad (Dracula) dancing with someone who i believe to be his wife (again, this is a kids movie. It was always mostly background noise and I never got into the full plot). I also remember how he spun her around (its 3D Animation so she spun unaturally fast, haha😂), and he was looking at her, smiling, and was singing along with the song. (Meaning, his MOUTH MOVEMENTS matched the song lyrics: "only you can make me happy." This is important for the next paragraph when I bring up ChatGPT and Google AI). Also, this was a movie my cousin owned on DVD, not a bootleg version on YouTube, cause some might be thinkin "maybe you watched an edited version and thought it was the real movie playing that song." No! Haha.
FINALLY: I asked Google AI and ChatGPT about this song being featured in in a 3D Animation Kids Movie where the family are vampires and they both said "that sounds like Hotel Transylvania," cause I was open to the fact that theres other kid movies where characters arent fully human and are also 3D animated and MAYBE I'm remembering the name of the movie wrong, but when I asked about that specific song, both told me the scene doesn't exist. I explained EVERYTHING is just did here in this post, and they both kept telling me my memory is wrong and theres no publicly documented evidence that they have a scene in the movie where that song plays. The reason I'm kinda freaking out is cause from time to time I see videos of people talkin about Personal (or Niche) Mandela Effects, rather than the popular ones most of us all seem to share the same memories of, and I never thought id be here now telling MY OWN PERSONAL Mandela Effect story. ChatGPT told me not to assume its false memory and to keep breaking it down, but I've repeated myself several times and its still tellin me the scene doesn't exist, from what its able to pull up online.
So now, I wanna ask anyone who cares to read this entire thing: do you also recall that SAME SCENE in this movie with that song playing??🥲🫠
