We've gotten our cat (male, british shorthair, 9 years old, spayed, indoor all his life) a few months back. He is healthy, has a normal weight and seems overall content (I hope).

He doesn't really like to play with anything we've bought so far, except for a stick with a mouse attached to a string and a single piece of string. He ignored any balls, anything that makes noise and anything automatic. He does like to play peekaboo and chasing each other but only one or a few times a day for a short while before he looks at me like I'm stupid.

He sleeps a lot and likes to be near us, but doesn't want to be pet at our initiative, only when HE wants to be pet (also only a little throughout the day).

We live on the second floor in an apartment and have no garden, but he does like to go patrolling the house and around it on harness and leash.

We do have a balcony that is cat-safe with a net where he likes to watch birds or the neighbours, but not all the time, especially not when it's rainy or too hot.

There are many times throughout a day where he scratches my chair or searches eye contact for attention, but then he doesn't want to play, eat or be pet. He of course likes to be fed treats but I can't give him treats all the time. I just don't know what he wants of me when he does this, and I can't always go outside with him. He seems bored but doesn't want to interact (at least not the ways I try to initiate) so he just watches us and meows and continue to watch.

Does anyone have any experience, any tips or tricks? Thank you in advance!

Auf meiner Arbeit haben wir zwei große Hochbeete. Die wurden im letzten Jahr nicht gepflegt und sind mit Brennnesseln, Frühlingszwiebeln und weiteren Pflanzen bewachsen.

Wir haben Komposterde, Hochbeeterde, Rindenhumus und Pinienrinde vorrätig.

Ich möchte gerne das Beet bepflanzen und habe gelesen, dass man zuerst die Erde umgraben und von Unkraut usw. befreien soll. Dann soll man eine Kompostschicht und eine Schicht aus Hochbeeterde machen. Die unteren Schichten sind laut meinen Kollegen Drainageschichten aus Zweigen und Laub.

Es ist aktuell Juni. Ist es zu spät, um jetzt noch etwas in dem Beet anzupflanzen? Und wenn nein, wie gehe ich dann vor? Dankeschön :)

I've recently read the fanfic "Malfoy-Muggle Mischief". I liked the story a lot but half through I was uncomfortable because they were so young, like 13.

Are there any stories that have a similar vibe to it (doesn't have to be a fanfic or harry potter), like the slow burn, enemies to lovers, having to spend time together without wanting to, with a little more grown up people? And he is rude and mean and she is smart and quick-witted? It can be in a school setting but doesn't have to.

I know there are a multitude of stories that resemble this arc, but have you some recommendations? Thanks a lot :)
